another Murray Hill report

My kids and I returned from a trip last week. It was just me travelling with my 2 and 4 year old sons to meet friends down there. We used Murray Hill transportation. Driver met us at baggage claim and helped us outside. Car was very clean and well kept, car seat in good condition. Driver was courteous. No problems.

One thing I'll mention though. We reserved a town car both ways. When I went out to meet our driver for our return trip, they were waiting for us in a van. It didn't bother me as long as they were on time and got us safely to the airport but I know there are people who would have wanted the more luxurious town car for the return trip as well. No one called to let us know of the change or anything. The van was also clean and in good condition etc. Like I said, for a mom travelling with 2 little ones it wasn't a big deal but it may be for a couple on their honeymoon or something.

Overall I was pleased. I would use them again.

Thank you for the report. We'll be using them in February. The van wouldn't bother me either, but I can understand how others may not be happy about it! They should have called you to see if it were acceptable, I think.

We used Murray Hill earlier this month and was very pleased with there service. I was actually a little surprise when we went out to get our luggage from the bell desk to find them already waiting for us. It was 15 minutes before our pick up time. I was glad because we were ready to go and would rather them be early than late.

Lollipop Mom ... I used Murray Hill for a solo trip last May; reserved a town car and got a van on the return trip also ... the van driver thought he was picking up four people and it took quite some time to convince everyone that I was the only one ... luckily, I allow plenty of time when traveling ... on the trip to CSR I was talking to the town car driver about our next family trip in 2005 and wondering if a town car would be big enough for 4 adults and luggage; he recommended a van ... I thought he understood what I was saying, but apparently not as I ended up with a van for my return ... everything was fine, but I felt bad they had to use a van from another company when I was a party of one .. not sure I'd use them again.
