For you MN people who post...just was at Rosedale today and the Disney Store there apparently closed on Monday. Kind of a bummer because I was taking my DD there today...she was sad about it, even though realistically there has been little to get for her besides cutie pie clothes.

That leaves Mall of America. Maybe Ridgedale, although I don't know the status of that store either.

Rosedale is closest to me. I live in the northern suburbs, but it's a straight shot down 35W. Now I have to make a major trek to MOA or Ridgedale (if that one's still open)

Boy - I don't think I knew there was a Disney Store at MOA....has it been there awhile????

I think I've been to Rosedale once - I like Soutdale - too bad they don't have TDS.

That IS too bad. The store at Ridgedale was still there during the holidays, but I haven't been there since, so I don't know if it still is.

The store at the MOA has been there almost since the beginning of the Mall....right down the hall from the Warner Brothers store, which is no longer. VERY little for the non-kidlet, and a small section of collectibles. It was mostly costumes during the fall, and then toys during the holidays. Not sure what the store has now.

It really is frustrating to see all the stores close and the merchandise become limited to a certain age group. :(

What?

My in-laws are disney nuts and go to Rosedal every day to walk. They frequently stop in to TDS.

Our store in SE Mn is still going strong (i think).

Herc.

Southdale used to have one - it was the one I liked up here. Closed last year. :( Ridgedale's was still open as of two weeks ago.

I wish TDS would realize they could make money if they had anything worth buying. Sigh...

I was at Ridgedale yesterday, and bought a bunch of pins, so they are still there. I am a frequent shopper there, they know me by name, and I would hope they would have told me if they were closing (unless they don't know).

I can't believe they closed Rosedale, the assistant manager I chatted with most at Ridgedale was transferred to Rosedale around the holidays to manage that store. I hope she doesn't lose her job completely!!!

I was surprised when I had been told awhile back that Southdale had closed theirs. How about Burnsville, is theirs still open???

It's strange that they didn't say anything either. DH just was in there last week and one of the managers knows both of us by name as we are in there for pins often enough. DH said no one said a word. They were having the 60% off sale that I read a lot of stores were having, but DH said there was nothing said about the store closing.

I too think if they carried more varied merchandise like the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney does, that more people would shop there.

I guess I won't miss it too much, it just bites that I now have to drive 45 minutes to MOA. We usually get Disney Dollars for our trips. And if there are any more pin sets...I guess I am out of the pin collecting craze now. I am not fanatical enough to get up early enough on a Saturday AM to drive that far for pins.
