Another ME vs. car service question

We always use ME. I love ME and normally do not have any issues with travel time.
But on Thursday I'm debating would a car service be beneficial to us and wonder what other would do in our situation.
DH and I both are working all day on Thursday. So we'll be up at our usual 7:00 AM.
We head straight to the airport from work and land at MCO at 9:30 PM. Which is better than our original flight which landed at 11:55 PM. We land equally as late on our flight home
Since we are arriving on both ends so late we are doing only carry on bags (heaven help this over packer)
So, would you opt for a car service to get in the room, and to sleep, faster?
I keep telling myself it would save only about 45 min, maybe an hour. Which isn't much. And it's possible it would save even more if there aren't many guests arriving then and we wait even longer for ME to leave
But at that hour, after a pretty long day, even 45 min is significant. And I keep thinking it's a fixed travel time vs. a fairly unknown travel time with ME.
Yes, I'm aware of what the cost is. It's not a budge breaker.

It's always nice to have a driver waiting to whisk you away. So, if you don't care about the cost, hire the car service. If my DH were with me for a late arrival, it would be worth it. He doesn't care for crowds, lines, and waiting. (But, yeah, he is coming with me next month.)

It isn't worth the cost to me if it is just me or me and DD. But I kind of enjoy the bus ride and video introduction (that I've seen a bazillion times).

A car service, with carry on bags only will take you under 50 mins, from gate to resort. So, it will give you about 30 mins more time. Up to you.

I'm on east coast time. So being up at 7AM and landing at 9:30PM wouldn't be that big a deal to me. Is an extra 30-60 minutes worth $100?

A couple weeks ago I flew to Vegas. I left the house at 5am, caught my flights, landed in Vegas at Noon, ended up not getting to bed until about midnight (but because of the time change, my body clock thought it was 3am).

I just asked the DW and she concurs with me, that for us, it wouldn't be worth the $75-$100 to save maybe 30 minutes, especially at only 9:30PM.
That's extra cash I can spend elsewhere.
Not sure what her answer would have been if the flight was at midnight (your original flight)

We landed at MCO at around 9pm on our last trip, and had only the routine short wait for ME before being whisked away to our resort. Relaxing & no problems. I personally would feel safer being driven on the highway at night by the ME bus driver than by a town car rent-a-driver.

LOL.. funny you say that. Last time we landed at night, in December, our ME driver got pulled over by the police for disobeying traffic cones and going straight through an intersection instead of turning as he was directed. What he did was very dangerous for not only us, the other drivers but the workers doing the road construction. So no, I don't think that is something to consider at all. A ME driver is not safer just because he works for ME

I would pay for a car service. My one late night experience with DME was terrible--so much so that I haven't used DME late at night again. It was 2 1/2 hours from landing to standing at the resort check in desk. I know that doesn't always happen, but the problem is, you don't know if you will have great or terrible service ahead of time. For me, it is worth the cost to not have to worry about it. And to get those few extra minutes of sleep.

Agree. The post about a towncar "rent-a-driver" was sorta amusing to me. We've used Tiffany Towncar for about 4 years, often with Renata as our driver. She's always friendly, helpful, and we're at the resort quickly. It's a win all around.
