Another Magic Band Question- Help/Advice Needed

We just got an invitation to test MB for our Dec 11- 15 trip and I am not sure we should accept. DD is a CM on the college program so she will be using her guest passes to get DH and DD in. I have an AP. We are all staying in the same room but I have read stories where members of the same parties having different tickets can cause difficulties. Also, do you have to use the MB fast passes? Would we be able to use our tickets or KttW card instead, or do you have to use MB fp? I have no idea what parks/what days at this point. So confused about what to do. To top it off, both daughter have smart phones but I don't, and I am not really technology savvy. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

1- That, in itself, is not a problem. (That is only an issue in trying to BOOK certain resort packages.)
2- I assume you mean FastPass+ and no, you don't have to use them.
3- Assuming things don't change, you will be able to also get a flat RFID resort card/ticket that
can be used to get regular FP's at the parks. (Assuming that there will be many FP's left per day.)
4- If you don't use FP+, you don't have to know "what park/what day" in advance or use a smart phone.
