It's not a word I use often, but if you saw my cat do what she does when the vacuum comes out you'd say "Yep, she skedaddled!"

Well if ya heard my Mom use it back in the day .......we definitely skedaddled!!!

My mom was not one to say much, for example to separate my younger brother and I when we were not getting along; She would grab the broom, we two would skedaddle, take refuge TOGETHER in the bathroom with her on the other side of the door.

Wow Jane, is sure looks pretty but not a lot of fun to deal with. I guess this wouldn't be the time to mention that our highs are in the 50s & 60s over the next 10 days?

We dodged it today. They were predicting 5-8" of snow, followed by freezing rain/sleet, starting around 9am. All the public schools canceled, but the Universities stayed open. No idea what happened, but we had light rain, sometimes a little freezing rain, and about an inch of snow. It's wet and slushy and gross out there, but at least we aren't shoveling half a foot of snow!

NOT the time Micca! We have been stuck in for 2 days now, and looks like another 1 1/2 day in.

We have a Chevy Orlando, and the car is light in weight; not good in snow!!

Toronto, Ontario has your version of wintery weather. We in Niagara have the heavy wet snow.

Being surrounded by the Great Lakes we get different types of snow. Lake Effect are the big juicy flakes. Storms originating out of Oklahoma (for real) are the smaller flakes.

Reminds me of a total groaner Dad joke my DH has been telling lately: "If you're cold, go stand in the corner - it's 90 degrees."
