Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Dh and I are going to Waterloo, N.Y. State on another bus tour this Tues-Fri. The museum of the home of Memorial Day celebration is on our to do list. Anyone here have other recommendations? :)

Well, we're through the first 4 months of winter here - only 2 more to go!! :cheer2: January lasts an eternity but February flies by and the days are getting just long enough that there's now a little light in the sky when I leave in the morning but the sun's going down and glares in my eyes when I travel home due west.

:goodvibes I'm happy that Valentine's Day brought a bright bouquet of flowers my way...I'm longing for colour! Our local winter landscape has it's own sort of beauty, I suppose, but it's undeniably monochromatic and stark:

It's 19°F here, but feels warmer, because it's actually sunny!!

This picture was from last weekend - we went up to Maine to take some stuff to DS at school. There had been a storm the day before, and the ice on the trees was just beautiful -

Both beautiful pictures.

The mountains and foreground, breathtaking for a flat-lander like me.

 That's the thing right there - that view just becomes so mundane; I honestly don't appreciate it properly. I grew up 500 miles north of here - it wasn't exactly flat, but the mountains were much, much further away. It also had it's own kind of beauty, but I took that totally for granted too:

Truth is, I'm not really much of a "nature" person. I utterly LOVE the city - any city! To me, this is absolute beauty and although I have no idea where it actually is (shutterstock photo), I could sit and soak in that view for days :cloud9:

We returned home to this early bloom. :)20200223_095126.jpg
AND, energy to take on an early 'Spring Clean.'

I'm not expecting Summer to embrace the cleaning very much though. As it is Roomba isn't to her liking.20200224_082000.jpg

Glad you had a great trip Jane! Oh dear, Summer doesn't like the robot vac. When the vacuum cleaner comes out here our cat runs as far away as she can get in the house! Other loud noises don't phase her, but when the door to the closet with the vacuum comes open, she will skedaddle. :)
