Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Frankenmuth, and Bonner's pictures still need to be down loaded so... I'll post them later. :)

Jane, glad you had an OK time at Soaring Eagle. Yes. it can be very smoky; big down fall of most casinos here in Michigan! :( We used to stay a couple of nights in the summers and spend much of our time at the pool or on their beautiful outside patio.

Love all of your trip and family pics, Jane! The one of you and your brothers is wonderful. So glad you had a good time. Can certainly empathize with the smoking issues. Also, yes, I do have horse pics. Will try to get around to posting them one day. Not so sure about majestic, but we love them. Mine is probably the least majestic of the two and he's the one with papers!

Merry Christmas from the Hilton Orlando at Lake Buena Vista! (pic below, brought the tree with me). DH and I are here for some warmth and sunshine- hahaha- for the holidays. Been here since Sat night and today is the first day we've seen sun. It's been overcast and drizzly all week, but at least in the low 60s so not cold, just cranky. Still, we're having a relaxing, great time. Went to Cocoa Beach on Sunday to see an old friend (and also saw the recovered stages/capsule of the Space-X missile that went down last week) and on Monday saw the Orlando Ballet and Children's Symphony do Nutcracker, which was phenomenal. Dinner that night at Raglan Road, so we watched more dancing! Yesterday was our Disney-day which got off to a rough start (wanted to do hotel bus-DHS-Yacht Club for free, but with weather/delays/traffic we ended up driving and valeting at the YC.. so $37w/tip instead of free...) but breakfast at Ale&Compass was terrific (I had shrimp&cheesy grits with a roasted tomato/chorizo sauce and the buffet board) and then we were off to Animal Kingdom for the day. BEST SAFARI EVER... and I've been on the Safari about 30 times. LOTS of giraffe, which are my favorite, and they came right up to the truck! Took DH to see Pandora for his first visit and rode FoP. Feeling good about the fast pass for that, as at noon the standby line was posted as 300 minutes! We had the 2-drink lunch at Nomad Lounge and wandered the AK until our Lion King fast pass time. After that we were off to Epcot, where we roamed the Holiday Kitchens, noshing supper, and then saw the 8:15 show of Candlelight Processional, followed by Epcot's new fireworks show. It was OK... felt kind-of thrown together and seemed to be mostly in the "Morocco" end of the lagoon, but whatever... it was a nice end to the day, even if it was drizzly the whole time. We had adult-coffee at Morocco (it was EMH night at Epcot) and decided to call it a day. We walked 12 miles and boy, am I feeling it today! Right now I am enjoying Christmas morning from my bed, with coffee, although in about 8 mins it'll be Christmas afternoon, so I suppose I should haul myself into the shower... or maybe just out to the pool, as it is FINALLY sunny and warm here in Orlando!! Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Holidays to everyone!!Photo on 12-25-19 at 10.14 AM.jpg

It's 54f partly sunny here in my part of SE VA.

A couple days ago, there was a 69 car pile up on the interstate near Williamsburg.
Ice on the bridge and fog is believed to play a role. Luckily no fatalities.

I saw the pictures from that. I couldn't believe it!! Very scary indeed!

Merry Christmas, all! I hope you guys had a happy day with your loved ones. I am finally about to sit down with a glass of wine and a movie. Late, yes. But haven't had a chance to relax all day, so I'm taking it!

Merry Christmas Aldioans:) Santa brought me a new laptop so I can participate again. I've been working with a hobbled computer for months, so it's been difficult to type anything, but I've been keeping up with the Aldio news.

Santa did excellent work here too. DW and I both have bronchitis but got to the doc in time to save Christmas, we had a great day but we're both pretty worn out. Looking forward to having more time to spend with the DGD's next week when we feel better.
