Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Just wanted to share. In our area a young terminally ill 5 year old cancert patient was granted an palliative hospital room personal viewing of the new 'Frozen' movie, before it's release. She died yesterday, but all are consoled with her endearing last memory.

Kudos Disney!

What a lovely thing Disney did. So sad for the family for their loss.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I know it's not Thanksgiving in Canada, but the wishes are the same. We had 3" of fluffy white snow overnight, that I wasn't expecting. Winter is not my favorite season but it sure looks pretty! DD is here for the holiday (her husband is in Fort Benning, GA, for his brother's graduation from Ranger school) so we are hunkering down, enjoying coffee, breakfast, and the view. Later I'll make two pies (pumpkin and mixed berry), a green bean casserole, and roasted root veggies to take to our friends' home for dinner. There will be about 20 of us, all transplants whose families are too far away for weekend travel. It's fun, festive, and warm, with too much food- everything Thanksgiving should be! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Thanks again Kitty for your very helpful advice for our upcoming tour to MI.

So very glad to read that your horrible experience had a great ending, My experience as a wife, and mom of two young sons all those years ago also had a best case scenario. I'd picked up a Strep (Flesh Eating Disease) infection in Florida while we were on vacation. The Drs here decided a high dose penicillin treatment would be the probable answer. Even still I fought the infection for 10 months. To this day I still have fatigue related issues, but the alternative well... you know.

God Bless you leebee.

Anytime Jane. Enjoy your trip. If I was a tad closer and we didn't have to deal with Michigan winter driving it would have been fun to have a Mini-Meet!! :goodvibes

Happy belated Thanksgiving and regular day and bus tour itinerary day to you lovely people. I'm thankful for each of you, too.

The highlight of my day was eating pecan pie and watching the National Dog Show. Unfortunately my pick did not win but absolutely should have! He was very handsome and made me think of your Charlie, Jane.

Our tree is up and has lights on it but no ornaments yet. I think we're doing that tonight. The cat has already found her spot under the tree. I suppose I'll have to leave that area clear of gifts for her.

Leebee, it sounds like you had a very pretty and festive Thanksgiving. Your mention of berry pie is making me want pie again. Yum!

Jane, so what all is on the MI Bus Tour itinerary? Will you be going to Mackinaw Island? I've always wanted to visit there. Also, what a scary ordeal with the strep infection. I wish those types of bacteria would leave the beaches alone. They're fun sponges, for sure.

It's cold, muddy, and grey here, and I'm trying to build up the motivation to go see my large fur babies. I should just go, right? They deserve some love, too. But the couch and blankets and hot chocolate and Christmas shopping from my laptop to avoid Black Friday crowds is another good plan. Hmmm . . .

Our itinerary includes shopping trips to Saginaw Fashion Square Mall. Meijer's Superstore, Kohl's, and Super Walmart. The hotel base is the Soaring Eagle Resort. I'm not familiar with 'Super?' Walmarts. :)

Thanks for your comments regarding our Charlie, and my Strep experience.

Let us know if you ventured out to the stalls to see your horses.

We are not sure what Christmas will be like with Summer, but I'll tell you this; She is getting 'MY OTHER' pink slipper for Christmas! Life is really interesting with a puppy!! :dog:
Sounds like the perfect gift for her!

When our cat does this we say it's her illustrating to us that she is a gift. Like we need to be reminded;)

Ha ha! Love it!

In addition to home and sporting goods and clothing, Super Wal-mart typically has a grocery store, a pharmacy, sometimes a fast food restaurant, an eye clinic, and possibly a salon.

I did end up going out to the barn that day. Good thing, too, since it rained like crazy yesterday. DD and I went together, and she asked me to ride her horse while she rode mine. I rarely ride her, and now I remember why. My horse is a much smoother ride. Mine is full TN Walker, and hers is Walker/Arabian. Her steps are higher which means more pronounced movement and that results in a major ab and thigh workout for me. LOL! I was sooooooo sore that night and yesterday. Guess I might need to ride her more often so those muscles actually get used every now and then.

Your horses sound so majestic. Any pictures? Hope your aches disappear quickly.

We are back!

Frankenmuth was gorgeous. Bonner's was incredible. Soaring Eagle Resort in Mt. Pleasant was enjoyable especially the pool. Unfortunately we were bothered by the cigarette smoke so will not be going back. :(

I've posted a few pictures, the pool area, and Native Art.20191211_122358.jpg
Our cabana.
