Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Are the batteries in the crossbar? Do you recharge by plugin or pedaling, or both?

Battery is in the crossbar, it comes off for charging which takes 2 hrs to charge, and has a 90km range on a full charge. It doesn't recharge by pedaling. Well, he left while I was texting for a pedal non electric assist! 20210304_113711.jpg

Not ME! it's -5C (Feels like -12C) in the Sun!! :cold:

The Iceman cometh back..

Three's a charm? Let's hope so. DH and I have re-scheduled our Florida trip from early Dec, then into early Jan (when DD got covid) until mid-April. Fingers crossed. We'd originally intended our "35 Year Celebration" trip (not anniversary, but we lived together for 8 years before getting married) to be to Europe, last summer, but... Anyhow, we have scheduled if for a week in April when I am off from school, and we feel positive about it because we'll both be 3+ weeks post-second vaccination! Maine changed all it's vaccination rules and is going strictly age-based, so ages 60+ are eligible in March, 50+ in April, 40+ in May, 30+ in June, and everyone in July. I've never been this excited to be old! Ironically, I will receive my shot exactly one year to the day that we sent students home/our last F2F class in March of 2020. I predicted at the time that it'd be at least a year before a vaccine was widely available... just wish I hadn't been right about this one! However, DD is vaccinated, her fiancee had covid when she did, and DH and I will both be vaccinated, as will many of our friends and family, by the end of April. I am hoping we have a better spring and summer than last year (although I will still wear my mask and stay 6' away from people... just in case!).

Hello ALDIO-ians! Received my second Pfizer dose yesterday, feeling a bit of side effects today but so glad I'm at this point.

@leebee did you decide between SSR and OKW? They are both really nice!

Great minds, posting at the same time! We're going to do SSR. OKW is tempting due to room size but SSR is walking distance to Disney Springs. We'll probably only do one park day (Epcot is having the Flower/Garden show and I want to do the food booths!) but plan on hopefully spending time pool side and eating/drinking good things at the Springs, so SSR seems to be the best choice (although we are waitlisted at BWV- but probably won't happen with a 5 night trip in April- it's pretty soon).

Still here as well. :thumbsup2
Yeah for vaccinations, everyone who's gotten them. :tigger: I'm a little younger, but am happy to report that both my and DH's parents have gotten theirs! I also heard from my aunt today that she got her first, and her second is scheduled.

It was sunny and bright here today - still cold, but showing hope for some warmer temps later this week. I saw this meme on another thread:

and it's so true!

So very true for sure. We do get acclimated to various temperatures, thank goodness.

I'm back!

It was very invigorating!! First even being on a bike again, second it's 34ish kg/72 lbs heavy. For the first ride I used non power assist. Thought it best to get use to biking again at all.

Next was the seat, read strange? Well I bought one shaped like a tractor seat, butt (pun intended!) padded. However, I was sliding forward too much (almost fell off the bike once) so.. for my next ride the original seat will be tried. :)

My Baker's cyst screamed at me for a while this afternoon, but is calmer now. Once I get use to riding I'll go to power assist pedaling. Then probably need to non pedal, and eventually power mostly because that 😅 option may feel more cyst friendly. My cane has to come along for future rides just incase.

We are so looking forward to the Niagara Falls area pathways! :moped:

Good for you Jane, please do take it easy at first.:) I haven't been on a bike in 50+ years. I know the phrase "Like riding a bike, you never forget" but honestly I'm not sure I could do it and I don't think I want to risk the damage an accident could do at this point. Still, when I go out for my walks I see all the people on bikes that look like they're having a better time than me. :earboy2:

I know eh! I've not been on a bike since my Bakers cysts entered my life.. sigh.. probably 5 years. At that time we donated our bikes to an area church for migrant worker use. They offer a rent to own programme so the bikes can go home with them at the end of the season.

My hopes are pinned on the 'Cruise Control' function of my new bike with my legs resting!
