Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Actually I knew how to grill back in the day of charcoal, lighter fluid and matches but with all the knobs on grills bigger than my kitchen stove (and counter combine) I would have to "learn to grill"all over again! :rotfl:

Me too! This is one thing that my husband is all on his own on!! :)

I'll bring the rum. Then the food won't matter.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have similar thoughts. No need to work around dangerous flames & a red hot grill, just some ice. Or maybe Kitty can swing by and pick up Annette's neighbor and HE can do all the cooking (though he isn't exactly dressed for dealing with flames & hot grill, but it doesn't appear that he cares.):)

Was the Easter Bunny good to everybody? Our two DGDs had a blast at our backyard egg hunt and the adults chowed down on grilled steaks and hash brown casserole. I hadn't made that casserole in nearly a year but OMG it was good. I'm not bragging, all I did was stir the ingredients together & put it in the oven. The true culinary geniuses are the ones who printed the recipe on back of the bag of the frozen hash browns. Where are their Michelin stars? And why does a tire company rate food?

Micca, I hid over 300 eggs for my sister's grandchildren (4 little girls and a boy) to find on Saturday. It was a great day.....great dinner; great weather; great company; and a few nicely made rum and cokes!! ;)

How 'bout everyone else?

I hid over 300 eggs for my sisters' grandchildren

Good grief! :faint: Not sure how many eggs we...I mean "The Easter Bunny" filled & hid but there were only the two little girls here. No rum & cokes here, I didn't think to buy any and I'm pretty sure the liquor stores were closed on Easter Sunday. I'm sure we'll make up for it at a future gathering.:)

The Easter bunny just dumps eggs on the kitchen table these days and strategically places bigger eggs in the loungeroom.

We had roast lamb eith roasted vegetables and green beans for dinner. Followed by cake with more eggs. I think we're all chocolated out :D

We had roast lamb
Roast leg of lamb? OMG I haven't had that since I was a kid. I just read something the other day that talked about how lamb is popular everywhere except the U.S. This is another item that no one in my family would eat except me, but sometimes I can find lamb loin chops at one supermarket here.

EB sometimes hides the eggs indoors on cold or rainy days (still have those sometimes at Easter.)

Kitty 34, you need to come visit us. Our new backyard neighbor grills out half-naked at least 5 days a week. In fact, he is out there right now! I wonder if any chest hairs ever end up in their food?

Ewww this why I love my DH unhairy chesty. I am in the smooth club

I'll cook my specialty: Hot dogs! I know many are afraid to tackle this delicacy but I have a near perfect record. Even the ones I drop on the ground are pretty tasty.

lol my DH cooked once, only once. How do you burn a hot dog on the outside and it's cold on the inside. Hand me the thongs

I'll bring chocolate bunnies, Umm... Sans their ears!

Ooh I bite tails first, just me, always been a butt girl:rotfl2::rotfl2:
