Yes, that is very doable. By DW I’m assuming you mean MK? DH and I did a kid-free trip a few years ago. We were in Disney for three nights; spent one day at MK and one day at Epcot. It was just right for us.

Got it! Thanks for clearing that up for me. I still think it’s doable. You could do one park a day. Also, I’d guess crowds are pretty low in late August with so many kids returning to school, so hopefully you wouldn’t have huge crowds to contend with.
I was thinking of Fast Pass. Did not think about park hopper, in fact I did not realize that a hopper was needed to go from MK to Hollywood studios or Animal Kingdom for example.
