Just wanted to share that we loved Cape May dinner in April and tried it again a few weeks ago, and it lived up to expectations. We had a 5pm ressie right when they opened. The crab legs were great, large pieces of meat came out and the shells were not soggy. The ribs, chicken, salads, pasta, rolls, cornbread, and desserts were all great. The only disapointment is they weren't serving the hot chocolate lava cakes anymore (or at least not this night). However, the cheesecake and oreo bon bon's made up for it! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks for the review! We are planning to stay at the Beach Club this summer and would like to try Cape May out this trip.

We were there last April too, and had a good meal. There was something that my DS 12 was looking for that was missing, but he still managed to eat well:lmao: We are trying to decide this trip between Cape May and Boma for our Non park day ADR.

Yummy!! I always miss going to Cape May on trips when we want to try something different. Glad you liked it!

This is my new favorite place at wdw. We've had 2 great experiences there recently & hoping for many more - crablegs yum!

I am planning on Cape May for dinner on our DHS day for our Oct. trip. I can't wait - I love seafood buffets.

I am really excited to eat here in March. I am soo looking forward to the crab legs! This thread makes me feel a lot better about canceling 50s PT for Cape May. I think I have made the right choice!

I am glad you enjoyed it! We always do!:rotfl: We will be staying at BCV in July and plan to eat there again!

Yeah, they cut way back on the desserts and also the salad bar but we still like it

Can you tell me what was cut back on the desserts and salad bar? I'm curious, the only things I remember on the desserts was the Lava cakes, cookies, Key Lime tarts, strawberry cheese cake, and oreo bon bons.

they had all of those things minus the lava cakes, plus a caramel flan and brownies. Didnt notice anything missing on the salad bar, but I didnt eat much from it besides the house salad.

Was it crowded? We had an awesome meal there in June of this year, but in December the year before it was so crowded that there was a 10 minute (or more) wait just for seconds! The buffet lines were incredible.

I want to eat there again when we're there for Christmas this year but am afraid of crowds.

Thanks for posting this. I just booked a ressie for the day we arrive in May so I was hoping to read it was good.

We ate here early dec and had no issues with crowds - very fresh buffet food, would return

You're making me re-think things too. We had some real bad luck after eating there a few years ago and so, have stayed away. But my DH loves the meal here and maybe we should try it again :goodvibes.

Does it smell at all fishy? My one daughter gets nauseated with fishy smell, but I would love to try the crab legs!

yes, you have to break the crab legs yourself, which can get a little messy, but part of the fun.....

also, i dont eat seafood and dont care for the smell either, but it didnt bother me...

we have tried almost all of the buffets at wdw and this is our favorite, it took us a few years to try it though, I am glad we finally did.
