Another Garden Grill Question

I have just noticed that most bad reviews on this change are from people who miss the old restaurant. Just wondering if it has to do with the comparison...we've never eaten there before but DH wants to try it in Oct. So here's my question...for those of you that ate here for the first time recently (since the change) did you like it?

I have always wanted to eat at the garden grill and was never able to.
We will be going at the end of Sept. and have a AR to eat there for dinner.
I have debated about if I should cancel after reading alot on the Dis, but we are still going to give it a try. :earsboy:

We have a ps in Sept! :cool1: I also would love to hear some recent reviews!

Hmm...so I'm starting to think the only people that have eaten there since the reopening have all eaten there before?? Guess we'll just have to hope for the best?

Us too. We loved it before it was changed and I am super leary to try it after the horrible reviews. But we are celebrating DS9 bday there and getting a cake, so at least we will have lots of good dessert. :rotfl:

We are just recently back from Disney. We had a great deal of PS, and I have to say Garden Grill was one of our favorites.
There were 3 of us dining: me, 34 ,my cousin, 36 , and DD 11
We had:
Freshly baked Bread with a Trio of Dips (all)

Spring Salad with Garden Vegetables in Greenhouse Herb Vinaigrette (all)

Slow-roasted Beef Strip Loin with Natural Jus and Caramelized Shallot Mashed Potatoes (me)

Chipotle-rubbed Rotisserie Chicken with Orzo and Pearl Barley Risotto and Fresh Spinach (DD)

Mushroom Ravioli and Vegetable - Mushroom and Asiago Ravioli Served with Fresh Vegetables in a Light Tomato Broth (cousin)

Chocolate Fondue - Rich Chocolate Fondue Garnished with Marshmallows, NestleToll House Cookies, Citrus Pound Cake, Chocolate Pound Cake, and Fresh Fruit (all)

We loved the food, our waiter Nick, and the character interaction was first rate! This is definitely a must do again

For the person who asked about kid menu :
Young Gardener's Menu
Ages 3 to 9

Chicken Tenders

Strip Loin

Macaroni and Cheese

French Fries

Mashed Potatoes

and I believe they also will child size any of the adult dishes for a child who wants that

We walked in after Soaring. We didn't know anything about it before we went but it was horrendous. The food was terrible. The steak was grisly the food was plated unappetizingly. I had the ravioli and the filling was bitter and foul tasting. The server said we could have seconds if we wanted it but we passed. The only good thing was the bread sticks but it was kind of expensive for bread sticks. Yuck we won't go back.

Thanks for the info. We are planning to try the GG in October. I already made our ADR. Do you know how the chicken was? Did it taste plain? My DW is a picky eater. She dosen' like anything that has a spicy taste to it. She likes her food plain.

I really wish they hadn't changed the menu here. It was one of our favorites. Why, oh why, do they always have to change a good thing?

The chicken was very lightly seasoned if I remember correctly ... my daughter LOVED it (plus Chip recommended it to her, which was a BIG selling point)
