Another child swap question

Okay so we have a five year old and will be almost 8 month old by the time our trip rolls around. If we do the child swap with the five year old and she rides with me first while DH waits with the baby, can our five year old ride again with dad when we're done or is one of us going to have to do this alone?

Yep that is a nice pleasure of the child swap. the babysitter gets to take whom ever they want with them even if that person has ridden 39 times that day. Child swap is only on rides with height requirements.

YEP! Our oldest son loves child swap for this very reason. We have a couple of people too short for Screamin' so this means he can ride with mom and then again with dad!

Yes, the same child can go both times...first w/ one parent, then with the other.
So, get your FP's for everyone in the group that will ride...then go back later to ride--enter the FP line...the CM there has to see EVERYONE in the party that is going to be riding the ride using the child swap option...then they will give one parent a special colored child swap ticket type thing...it says the name of the ride on it and to bring it back w/ the kid.

So...then the kid and one parent (not the one that is holding the special colored child swap ticket) go on the ride.

The other parent can go do some other ride w/ the little one(s) that can't ride the "big" ride....

When the 1st parent and kid get off, meet somewhere...then the 2nd parent takes the big kid and usually goes to the exit (for SM, for sure I know this is how it works...but not for soarin'...just my 2 experiences)....and then you get to jump right on w/ the kid the 2nd time...

the colored child swap ticket is all you and the kid need...that's enough for both of you....and it's basically treated like a FP...you don't have to stand RIGHT there waiting for the 1st parent to get off w/ the kid....you can just go back w/ the colored ticket at a later time (like a FP) and hop on...they have no clue how long ago the 1st parent rode...

Just my experience last week--it was great! I was the 2nd parent and we walked RIGHT ON to SM and got perfect FRONT ROW seats w/o a second of waiting!
(The hardest part was finding the freaking EXIT...which is how the 2nd parent and kid have to enter after the swap...I had to ask 2 or 3 CM's to find it!!) :-)

HTH! :-)

Oh, I thought you meant that if a kid was being bad you could trade him or her in for a good one...

I am planning a DL trip with DD28 and her 1 year old son, just the three of us. There are many rides that baby will not be able to ride.

Can DD and I wait in a line for a ride and when we get to the ride one of us goes on while the other one waits with baby? When the ride is over then the other adult would ride while the first rider holds baby.

I am sure this can be done but am wondering about logistics. Can any DL experts help me out?

And as long as I have the experts here - What is fun when you are one, as in one year old?

Thanks!

They do not allow persons who are too short or whatever from entering the line so the only option is waiting outside the line. It is a set rule because people with a slight short kid will then tell the loading CM that the child was measured by the greeter and thus should be allowed on. Thus all kids under the height limit are not allowed in those lines.
