Another Car seat Question???

We will be flying Delta and Delta Connect. What Concerns me is the size of the car seat. I have read somewhere not to use a car seat larger than 16" across. I have an large Even- flow car seat. ( It is approved for air travel) The base of the car seat is 16" , but the car seat itself is about 22" across. Would it be two large for the seat?

Also, What about ME, Obviously you can't put a car seat on the bus, So the travel agent advised us not to purchase transfers for my DS. He will be two at the time of travel. Will they put the Car seat under the bus?

Some airlines have odd-sized seats so best to call the airline regarding the size.
Call the airline you are using and ask if they have any guidelines for you to go by. Many have general measurements, but these should be followed as a guide. Often the widest part of the car seat will be wider than the narrowest part airplane seat, but still fit because the car seat is shaped differently than the plane seat.

Installation Tips:

1) Use the seat the same way you'd use it in the car (if you use it rear-facing, rear-face on the plane, etc.).


2) Recline the airplane seat back when installing the seat, then bring it upright to get the seat even tighter.

3) Twist the latchplate around once (so that it's "backwards") to make it easier to unbuckle at the end of the trip. Not twisting it may make it nearly impossible to unbuckle the belt. This will also help keep the belt from slipping loose.

4) Put up at least one armrest. This will give the seat more room for installation, and keep it more stable (since resting against an armrest may cause it to tip to one side).

We are taking our Evenflo Triumph, which is huge, but it will fit. I will make it. Whoever is next to the seat may have a little less room though.

Yes, ME will put the seat under the bus with the luggage. They will not allow you to bring it on the bus.

As someone else said, you don't "purchase" ME. It is free. And I was just curious as to how your TA expected your son to get from the airport to Disney??? I was advised by MS (I am a DVC member) that I would need tags and a voucher for my son for September. He is 1. I added him to our ME reservation and he has yellow tags and the ME voucher in his name.
