We had planned to book our April 27-May 4 trip thru AAA, but the TA there who is supposed to be helping me is...well...not helping! I asked for a quote for 7 nights, nonstop flights to LAX, suite room, 5 day parkhopper, etc....

She quoted me for 4 nights, 3 day pass, standard room (2 queen beds), 5 hour layover in Seattle (with 3 little kids - fun!) ...almost nothing was right!!

So I started looking elsewhere - Getaway today has the same hotel I had chosen from AAA, at almost the same rate...the only big difference between the two packages is no Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness with Getaway.

Should I ask for a different agent at AAA, or is this indicative of their service? We don't travel much, have never used a TA, but I assumed things would go better - she also takes FOREVER to return calls/e-mails. It took a week just to get the completely wrong quote, and we are wanting to book soon! Any ideas???

I had a problem with AAA, but it was with insurance... I finally asked for another agent and was given much better service.. If you really wanted the AAA package, go ahead and request another agent or you might want to try their online service.... If they give you a hard time, ask for a manager..... :goodvibes

You could always book it yourself by going to Disneyland.com I have done it that way and got the EE and TTMM tickets...and the preferred seating. I don't use a TA, I know that sometimes they can save you money but I like to do it myself. :)

I never go through a TA anymore either. I prefer to do it myself, because you can pick out your own flight and hotel. Speaking of which, I am planning a trip to DL as we speak for the end of June. I have found some really good deals on Orbitz.com or Travelocity.ca! Good Luck.

Can you book the AAA online? I had that option when planning...but it might be different in Canada.

If you do end up with a long layover in Seattle, come out of the gate area (but still behind security) and see the HUGE floor to ceiling windows they put in with the refurb. It's an incredible set of windows and quite lovely. And only open to those who are ticketed.

Is Costco Travel available in Canada? If so and you're a member, try them, too. And see if you can do it online (that's how we booked). Though I'll admit I don't do airfare through travel agencies, I go through the airline websites themselves (or in the case of a flight I'm taking in 11 days, through orbitz for some stupid reason, LOL).

I didn't realize there was no MTTMM through getawaytoday!
