I read on that the Classical Annual Pass for DLP is only E99. Does anyone know whether this is the current price? Because if it is, it seems to be cheaper for my family of 7 to purchase annual passes for all (even though we probably won´t return within a year) than it is to buy 2 day tickets. We will be in Paris the first week of August and there are no block out days during that time. Wouldn´t this be the cheapest and best option for us?

The Classic passes cannot be used on the 2 days following the purchase of it i.e buy on the Monday, can't use it for the Tuesday & Wednesday

Lots of useful info on APs here - http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/#Annual_Passport_Prices_Benefits

With 7 of you going you'd also get the family discount on APs (sure someone else will confirm what it is!)

The Fantasy pass is only a little bit more expensive than the 2 day tickets - but with the family discount it may be even cheaper, and you'll also get the 10% discount on shops and restaurants which we found easily made it worth having the passes.

Having an AP has also justified our return trip this week!

With the family discount for 5 people/ passes you must all have the same surname,
I went with my family in july. 5 of us and we bought the fantasy passes and had 20% discount, I also own shares so had an additional 15% off!!
this is the only time you can get 2 discounts off passes ( family + shares)

so for you 7 fantasy passes would be E973
-20% family discount E194.60 = E778.40
-15% if you buy shares E116.76 = E661.64

and you there is no 2 day no use after the day you buy

I hope this was all correct lol good luck with whatever you decide xx

Thanks everyone for your great replies. :)

Sooooo........the classical passports can´t be used for the first 2 days after I buy them but the Fantasy passports can?
What I´m worried about with the Fantasy passports is that they won´t believe we´re one family since we don´t share the same last names (well only a few of us). Here in Iceland we don´t have family names and therefore in our family of 7 we have 4 different last names. I don´t really have any proof either that we share the same address.
I wouldn´t be able to order the classical passports online earlier, would I?

The fantasy pass can be used on the following days as long as they're not blackout days.

We've never done the family discount so can't help with that but I've heard of people getting refused it. I believe the rule is that you all have to live at the same address. If you can prove it (bills/bank statements etc...) in the various surnames, you should be ok.

It wouldn't make any difference if you bought either your classic or francillien passes in advance - they don't become activated until the first day you use them as a park entrance ticket - so its the 2 days after that activation date that you wouldn't be able to use them as park entry tickets.

Family Discount
For the purchase of 5 Annual Passports or more by the same family (same surname) at the same time.

People have reported managing to get the family discount with different surnames before but they have been able to prove they lived at the same address although it wasn't without difficulty. As Happy Tappy said, arm yourself with copies of bank statements. bills etc to show you live at the same address and hopefully you'll get lucky.

Just a thought? Will you not wish to have access to EMH (which only comes with the Dream pass)? I posted on your August thread that we do find EMH invaluable in August.
