Source of this rumor? What's to the rumors of Disney charging $99 for these previews?
That would flip this to a ticketed event. Yikes.
I really don't put this past Disney.

This possibility was initially floated by all the major blogs/sites, but now all seemed to have backed away.Source of this rumor?

Wow. I didn’t expect that reaction, I was just trying to lighten the mood around here with a little humor.Oh come on now. You say this like you get nothing else with the cost of a pass but for access to GE early.
Yeah, we are all annoyed at the increase but it's not like they've taken away benefits or added black out dates or anything.
I would not say that the AP preview is no longer consider complementary just because you had to buy your AP. Would you seriously?
Ya, I want to say it's a crappy move from Disney, but it's a brilliant business move. They know people are going to want to buy AP's to try to get a preview, so demand just skyrocketed.
No one likes an increase, but if used to the fullest the platinum pass is still a great value compared to other entertainment options.Oh come on now. You say this like you get nothing else with the cost of a pass but for access to GE early.

In addition to registering, can one actually attend the event with the not-yet-activated AP voucher linked in MDX profile? Is there any sort of verification is done at the event to determine if it's active? While I don’t have an answer to your specific question about SWGE previews, I will say that I have been able to register for various Passholder events in the past while only having a not-yet-activated AP voucher linked to my MDX profile.
I don’t know. My AP was activated by the time the event rolled around. I’m inclined to think it would have to be activated to enter, but who knows? In addition to registering, can one actually attend the event with the not-yet-activated AP voucher linked in MDX profile? Is there any sort of verification is done at the event to determine if it's active?
