Annual Passholder Previews REGISTRATION LINK IN FIRST POST-EVENT FULLY BOOKED

When Disney states that 1 platinum or platinum plus passholder can invite one guest and that one guest also has to have a platinum or platinum plus to get in and also they have to be in your mde account, no exceptions. I take it at face value. They don't care if anyone thinks it's too strict. Case in point, our son is a CM and they will open a day for the CM's to apply to get into SWGE. The CM's can only invite ONE person. So Disney doesn't care if they can only invite 1 person from their family, or who they have to leave out. The number is one, no matter what.
There is no comparison to a CM inviting a guest and a mother of 3 kids having to pick 1 of her children. Children by the way, who can't have their own MDE accounts. Due to the fact that they are too young to manage such a thing.

DH and I just bought Platinum APs and are not activating until August. Will we still get these emails? Or be able to book a prevoew if the dates happen to coincide with our trip?

I don’t think you will get an email until you activate the pass. I had AP vouchers in my account for awhile and i don’t think I got any until after activation.

The thing that ticks me off the most is that we really have no idea what is happening and no place to get reliable information. Whether to set up MDE accounts for everyone in the family or just to leave everything alone and hope for the best is anyone’s guess.

Additionally, people posting what a cast member has said over the phone or conversely posting rank speculation muddies the waters even more for me personally or else has been sending me on wild goose chases.

I don’t think Galaxy’s Edge is going to be even close to as popular/crowded as Disney thinks. My kids are young - they could care less. The sequel trilogy- the terrible Last Jedi specifically - is not as important to kids as the original trilogy was to kids at that time. Galaxy’s Edge is set in the sequel trilogy - in a setting (Batuu) my kids know nothing or could care less about. Sure they love Disney but Star Wars isn’t as cool as Harry Potter is to kids at Universal, for example.
So in your view point, no one should post what they have learned? Ok
Or even have a thought/opinion? So if that's the case, about half this board is pointless.
Info from official channels and thoughts are all anyone has.

No offense but I don’t think your responses need to be so callously said. I’ve stood by quietly but it’s seriously ruining the whole vibe of this thread. You can respond to someone without making them feel horrible

No offense right back at ya but don't we all have on our big girl (or boy) britches? I thought we were all grown up here and didn't need to be tiptoed around. You call it callous (really though, was it?) and I call it honest, plain and frank. That's how I speak here and in real life. Around here, if someone's not your style there's an ignore feature. It's my one of my favorite features of the board and I use it often.

Speculation and what's learned via official channels is about all there is at this point and it's not harming anyone. No one is forcing someone to do anything with the information. And for sure no one is posting anything that is intentionally misleading or false, outright lies. Information sharing, it's what message boards are. Right?

I vote we go radio silent until the event is full.

I voted that this thread went "radio silent" from the start - other than for direct reliable info or when the actual link was released. That was about 150 pages ago... :)

When the link does go live, it will be pretty obvious from the most recent posts what has happened, and the mods have said that they'll add the link to the first post in the thread too.

I would love a method that would ring loud alarm bells and flashing lights as soon as the link gets released, but stay completely silent otherwise, but even the GroupMe idea doesn't seem to fulfil that. In the meantime, this thread is the best we have, even if it is not exactly clutter-free.

Not trying to argue with anyone. Just stated what I know from what our son has said, and frankly, what I know from reading our A.P page. Quote; "If you are an eligible Passholder and would like to register a Guest to accompany you, that Guest must also have a valid Platinum, Platinum Plus or Premier annual pass, be listed on your Family & Friends list and have opted to share "All My Plans" with you". It doesn't say one guest except if....... And by the way, some cast members have spouses and are parents too and they are facing the same dilemma. Now, I'm not going to get into a back and forth on this because I don't want to argue, and it won't change anything. So good luck to all who are wanting to register.

Again, and second warning. You can state your thoughts but there's no need to become confrontational with others that disagree.
This thread is on the "edge" of being closed all together.
We (the mods) don't want to start giving out personal warnings that will affect your ability to post.
This thread was supposed to work like the many other threads myself and others have opened about stalking wdw page for a registration. For some reason this one just deviated from that.
Radio silence is also my vote until the emails come and we we'll link it to the first post
If you feel a need to post here, sarcasm, belittling, confrontational posts will be deleted and warning points will be given

Ok, so the CM preview and rules are completely separate from the passholder ones. Grouping them together as 1 rule for both is confusing and wont be done at the same time.

The trigger for the passholder preview is the eligible AP itself- not how many is in your family. If everyone in your family has an eligible AP, everyone in your family has a chance to preview- the semantics of how to register everyone is what's shady at the moment. We will see soon enough.

I really have a feeling today is going to be the day. I tried to buy my wife a Florida AP last night so we could activate it when we get there this afternoon but it wouldn’t let me since my card is still associated with our old address. Does anyone know if that will be the case if we try in person too when we bring our proof of residency? I believe they said a bank statement (which we did update) would be sufficient so we could skip the DMV. We could always use our banks card but I wanted to get the rewards points.

When I try to click on the link used for previous passholder previews I now get directed to the AP website. Anyone else? Maybe wishful thinking, but hopefully that means something is happening behind the scenes and it will drop today! 🤞

First, I really doubt today will be the day. A couple of days ago Disney posted that they would be sending out emails "later this summer", presumably to try to deflect all the people who are contacting them to ask when the previews will be able to book. I think we'll be lucky to see anything definitive available much before the end of July to be honest - but I'd love to be proved wrong of course.

And If you have a Florida Residents AP sadly you won't be eligible anyway, they have said the previews will be for Platinum Passes and above.

Still get the "Event is full" page on my side.

Florida residents can have Platinum Passes and above, they just get them at a discount because they’re Florida residents. The OP will be eligible if he has Platinum or above regardless if he purchased it at a discount.

Same here. Definitely different than yesterday.

If I open the link that prompts me to sign in first (it was a Facebook link) - it takes me to the passholder page. If I click on the short link, it takes me to the "event full" page. Perhaps there is some tinkering going on...

Could you share which link you're referring to?

That's how it has always worked for me.
