Annual Passholder Newsletter question

No, I haven't gotten it for having an AP. I used to subscribe when my boys were little. It is a good magazine.

I am assuming this magazine arriving today has to do with the AP mailing list since it says "Passport" on the label area. I don't know why else I would have gotten it. There was a Family Fun magazine in our PPH room in December, which I barely paid attention to but my friend was reading, but this is the first one I have gotten in the mail since I got the AP in October. I was very surprised to see it! And, judging by how scattered and random the mailing of the newsletter-magazines seems to be, I assume I will probably not be able to count on getting one of these Family Fun magazines every month, or quarterly, or however often they come out!! This was probably a fluke.

Yep. It does kind of seem like they are a bit screwy in some areas, but very much on top of things in other areas. I guess there are so many different facets of Disney and different departments, and they don't all seem to be communicating with each other all the time and sharing the same information. But I guess, considering how much joy and happiness they bring to people, I can forgive them for being a little scattered about who gets the AP Newsletter in the mail and when they get it, and who gets the Family Fun magazine!

For the magazines.. You can get Family fun or Wondertime. You used to be able to get the Disney digest or something. It went out of business. so I get 1 family fun to me and then the 2 wondertimes in my kids names. Now my mom has a premium AP and she does not get one. She usually get the AP newsletter... and I don't...

I just don't understand it!!!

Yes. So that would explain it, but from what Rapunsel was just saying, it doesn't seem like everyone with a PAP gets the magazine!! So much for that theory! Maybe they just sent me one magazine to start off the membership and then that will be it? In any case, I feel very lucky to even have the PAP and to have been able to use it for so many nifty discounts at all. So I won't quibble if they don't send me anymore newsletters or magazines. I would not have been able to get the PAP if I had to pay full price. I had unused tickets that I applied to the price of the PAP, and so I only had to pay $191 for it. Now this year in October, I don't know if I will be able to renew it, but I will be glad I had it for the time I did!

I still think DLR should just be consistent with people, one way or the other - either send out the AP Newsletters to everyone with an AP or no one at all. Even if they just send it to the Deluxe and Premium AP holders, at least there would be some sort of order to it. But not everyone is getting it, and I guess not everyone is getting this Family Fun magazine either!

Talk about resurecting an old thread!! lol!! I went looking for my old annual passholder backstage pass magazine to check the original pumpkin muffin recipe, and wondered, when did they quit doing the magazine? They did quit right? and no online version anymore either right?

The newsletter/magazine was seemingly discontinued -- and I'm going to close this thread so that it doesn't cause confusion and make people think that it's still being sent out. It's a very old thread.
