Okay these may be stupid questions, but I live in Vegas (or as I call it, city of the fine print) :confused3

A Little Background Info
  • Going to be in Anaheim, Sept 15-23
  • Planning to do DL for 5 days
  • 6 People: Me, Hubby, Sister, Son, Daughter, and Niece

First Question: We plan to buy 5 day park hoppers through Last Minute Travel and then upgrade at the park. The 5 days on their site are $192. This seemed very low to me, so I wanted to know is it legit and not a scam?

Secondly, I've read that after I use the park hopper, then they "worth" is gate price. I'm still confused by that a bit. Does that mean I will only have to pay the difference between $499 and $271... or the difference between $499 and $192?

Thirdly, I'm an over planner and I know if I left all my money as cash, I'll spend it here and there, so I plan to buy gift cards to cover most of my expenses (plus they make great keepsakes for my scrapbook). Can I pay for the upgrade using a Disney gift card?

I'm sorry, these are probably really common sense questions, but after being scammed a few times:eek:, I've learned to double check everything! Any help on this is MUCH APPRECIATED :worship:

Make sure that there are no hidden fees. They may still have leftover tickets from before the price hike earlier this summer, explaining the lower price. Just read the fine print on LMT's site and make sure there aren't any hidden charges. I feel most comfortable buying directly from Disneyland.com but if it really is a deal, go with LMT.

I believe that is how it works at Walt Disney World, but is not how it works at Disneyland. You only get the value that you paid for the ticket, not the gate value, so it would be the $192 figure toward your upgrade.

Yes, you can use a gift card toward your AP so long as you are not going to choose the payment plan.

1. LMT is a legit company, but beware of international fees from your bank since they are oversees. Many on the DIS (including me) have used them the last year and a half or so.

2. That is at WDW. At Disneyland you get the value of what you paid, though many who have upgraded LMT tickets got some pixie dust and they were given credit for the online price.

3. Yes you can pay for the upgrade with Disney gift cards.

Thank you both! I will budget for paying full price just in case. But, hopefully, Tink will be there with me!
