Do I need to go to the park I reserved for the day before I can go to another park later the same day.
Example I book AK for Nov 10 but decide not to go. Later in day I want to go to HS. Can I just go to HS?

I think you can after 2pm. What i’m not sure about is if you have to cancel the AK reservation first?

You can just go to the non-reserved park, even if you don't cancel the first park reservation. We just did this twice in the last 5 days. So in your hypothetical, you can just go to HS after 2 pm.

It has to be after 2 pm; before 2 you would need to change your reservation. Also, you need a reservation to enter MK on Saturday and Sunday. Those seem to be the only limitations.

Yes, you have to scan into the park you reserved (AK) first before you can hop to another park (HS) later in the day. Even if you don't plan to spend time there, just a quick scan at the entrance will do.
Yes, this is a valid option but a much easier option is just changing a park reservation to the new park you wish to go to first. Saves travelling all the way to the first park, going through security, only to tap in and leave. A lot of unnecessary travel time.
