Annual Pass Question (Resorts)

Is there certain times of the year that WDW give annual passholders a discount on rooms. I noticed the last published was for August and September. Does any one know if they offer the discount in early December or January? Thanks Much

Last year on 8/15 they released AP rates for stays 9/30-12/23.

On 10/31 AP rates were released for stays 01/01-02/13.

So they are available...you just need to keep an eye out for them.

These boards seem to have the information quickly. Mousesavers.com has all the historical info on their website and the current codes always posted as well. If you are interested in the AP, you should check out the DDE card as well. I really never knew about it until these boards, but it gives 20% off a number of TS restaurants as well as CS at all the values and AK. It was worth it for us. It costs $60 and is good for about 13 months. You only need 1 card for a party of up to 10 people.

I was about to ask something similar. We are looking for a split-stay in April, most likely with a weekend at a value or mod and then 6 days at DVC (need to save a few points). Plus, there are several resorts we haven't stayed in yet...

Since we will have APs, we'd love to take advantage of the discount...but being DVC people, we plan way in advance

Any ideas roughly when April will open up? Is it typically value resorts only?

Are there any problems booking a cash room now, and then canceling/rebooking with the AP discount later if its available?

No problem adding a code if one comes out for your room. You won't have to cancel and rebook unless you are changing resorts if yours isn't available. We have done this a few times over the years and neverr a problem. Most room types are available with the AP discounts not just Values.
