First time Universal Vacationer headed down January 27th - February 5th (9 park days). Looking into which pass type I should purchase for the trip. I have considered the following options:

I will probably only be going to Seaworld once

Orlando Flex Ticket 2015 = $321.44 (Undercover Tourist price)
Universal Annual Pass Power Ticket = $227.98 (Tax included)
Seaworld One Weekday Pass = $58.58 (Undercover Tourist price)

I know the Seaworld Weekday Pass ends December 19th but I am assuming they will resume them after the holiday season.

Do they ever run specials on purchasing Annual Passes for Universal or is this pretty much the standard price?

Any information provided would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

I have never seen a special on the AP.

About the only "discounts" I've seen on annual passes are Florida resident and the occasional 15 months for the price of 12. That being said, Universal is currently seeming to bridge tickets at upgrade. Here's a recent thread of someone who upgrading UT tickets to an Power Pass.

It would take jumping through a couple more hoops.

If I'm understanding this correct, then I could purchase a 2 day park to park ticket plus extra day free for $173.99 from Undercover Tourist. I would then take the ticket to guest services at the park and upgrade to a Power Pass annual pass for only $9?

It sounds like some well respected members of the Universal Boards have been able to do it. There have been several reports of people paying the difference between gate prices for upgrades. I'm planning on upgrading a 4 day park to park ticket I purchased before the latest price increase to a power pass (after using 1 day during the blackout period). I also have an old 1 day park to park ticket from credit card points I'm planning on upgrading probably to a power pass.
