Sorry if this is a repetitive question. I tried searching previous threads but can't find what I'm looking for.
I just purchased an annual pass for the first time today and forgot to ask the CM this.
I will be flying in on Monday and going straight to Epcot. To activate the annual pass, will I need to go to the ticket booth before entering? Or can I go in the park and get my annual pass there or on our way out?

You've probably already done this but make sure your AP is already attached to your MDE account before you get there. At Epcot, go to Guest Services on the right of the ticket booths. Generally not busy and they will activate your annual pass and give you the card. We just did this in July and it went smoothly. Ticket booths may also work as previous poster said, but I don't have experience with that. All parties must be present with photo ID to get activated. Once activated, your Magic band, cell phone, or AP card will get you in.

Note: You didn't mention how you're getting to Epcot so if you're driving, you will have to pay to park but you can show your AP to get reimbursed for that as well since AP's park for free (as do on-site guests).

We just activated our first APs last week. We showed the parking attendant the AP in MDE and told her we were activating that day and she let us through without payment. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to happen, but worked for us.

Being a newbie as well, how do we get the AP holder magnets I always see pics of?

If you mean the standard Mickey orange ones - they'll eventually mail them to you, in something like a Welcome to AP mailer.

Btw - Disney said that they're sending newly-designed magnets to all AP-holders, so it's possible you might not get the older design. (Just depends on when they do the switchover.)

I'm in the same boat. I verified my FL residency w my ID online so it says I can just enter w my linked Magic Bands. If I do that how will I get AP discount on meals etc?

I just got a magnet in the mail a couple days ago. It's the old-style magnet. I was disappointed.
I would bet that you'll get the new magnet, too - whenever it is those get mailed out (which I assume hasn't happened yet).

I hope so! It looks so cool--and I've got more than a couple of the old-style ones.

I've heard mixed things. I'd assume you might have to pay but can still get it credited if you do.

Like others said, it should be mailed to you. After that, there are times of the year where they'll give them out at the parks (Epcot anyway) and it's in a separate line where you show your card and ID and they give them to you. Not sure if that's changed in the last year or so, though.

If you have the app on your phone, you can show them your pass there.

Unless something's changed this summer - you can grab an AP card at any Guest Relations or Ticket Office (which includes the one in Liberty Square, assuming it's still there). Just tell them you didn't receive one, they'll check your details via your MagicBand, and give you one.

I just bought an AP with the PhotoPass add-on. We are going to activate our APs next weekend, but will not be using them to enter a park until 10/1. If we take photos at a park next weekend will we be able to access them without a separate memory maker purchase?
