Could anyone help please?
Our plane will be landing at Orlando Airport at approx 8pm.

At this time of night where would it be possible to exchange my AP voucher for an AP before arriving at ASMu where we need to present it at Check In?
Could anyone advise on which Guest Services location would be open at 9-10pm? and on how easy it would be to get to with Hubby, two children under 5yr, (and used to driving on the left in the UK)?

Thanx in advance.

down at DTD would be the place to do that...I believe they are open until 11pm.

I think that you can check in with your voucher. They might ask you to bring your AP back the next day, but I would think that at that hour they would understand the situation!

I would call the hotel directly, ask to speak with a manager, get his or her name, and explain your dilemma. They may let you check in with your AP voucher, and come back the next day to show your actual pass.

I think that you can check in with your voucher because if you activate the pass then you really lose a day. To be quite honest with you I've been a mumber of times on an AP discount with a valid AP of course and I've never been asked to show my pass. Now I'm not saying that anyone should try to get an AP discount without a valid ap or voucher just that i'm sure that a voucher will do if they actually ask to see one.

Many have reported that they were not asked to show their AP at check-in. IMHO, this is because the CM knows you have one if your AP has been activated (you are in the "AP Computer"). Therefore, there isn't any reason for the CM to ask you for it. Since you do not go into the "AP Computer" until the AP is activated, the chances of being asked for your AP at check in are much greater if you only have a voucher or just very recently activiated your AP. This is the also reason that you do not get a Mickey Monitor until after your AP is activated.

I also think think you will be allowed to check in with the voucher - If the CM at check in does not allow this, ask to see a Supervisor or Manager.

Enjoy your trip!

For all the replies.

I contacted CRO, who advised that DTD guest relations is open until 11pm.

They also contacted ASMu who advised that thier Guest relations(opposite Check in)
would be open til 10.30pm. He advised that we could activate AP voucher there.

My only concern is that no-ones mentioned that they have guest relations in the AllStars,
just in the theme parks or DTD.

Could anyone verify this please. confused:

Thanks

Every WDW Resort has a "Guest Relations". Most people exchange their passes at the park gate while going into the parks and I think that people had non-resort solutions on thier minds. Since you were getting to Orlando after or near park closing, the next logical step would be "Downtown Disney".

However, it sounds like you have your answer. Guest Relations at the All-Stars will be open until 10:30 p.m. to exchange your AP voucher. If you are delayed in getting to your resort until after 10:30, I wouldn't worry about it. You'll be able to exchange your voucher in the morning (at Guest Relations) and show them the AP if they insist on seeing it. I don't think you'll have a problem. You have more things to worry about ... like that left side of the road v/s right side of the road thing. Lucky for you, Orlando doesn't have many round-abouts ;).

I've activated aps at least twice and you have to do it at the parks. the hotels can't do it. I've stayed on property every time and was always told that you have to go to the parks to activate it. All hotels have guest relations but I don't think that they activate the passes. If that's the case then a voucher would surely be acceptable because they could activate it right there and ther would be no problem of checking in . I think that you may have been misled by the CM. Again don't worry about it . the voucher should be more than enough to secure your room.

Thankyou for all your replies.

We've decided to stay off site at the Holiday Inn, for the first three nights, as we're planning to do Seaworld and Universal as well.

This will also give us time to get to Downtown Disney to activate the AP's before checking in to Disney.

Regards
