Annual pass changes coming........

Read where? I am driving down tomorrow and if this is possible I know where my first stop will be.
when you click link in post 1 there are comments at bottom.. some appear to be from people "in the know" and that is what is being said

I just got my renewal postcard which has a guaranteed renewal price written on the card. Does anybody have experience with an impending price increase? Will they honor the postcard price or force the new higher renewal discount? I'm still trying to decide so I don't want to order tonight. Any help????

Thanks, when I first read the article no one had commented yet.

I am also curious how this will work with vouchers. We have 3 and check in in December. I haven't bought our photopass yet.

Plus we bought at the old price before the last increase.

I was planning on buying our Annual Passes this weekend, but now I see the ticket part of the WDW website is down. I shouldn't have been dragging my heels on this. I'm sure a big price hike is awaiting us.

Ugh, we were going to purchase ours at the end of November! The same thing happened to us in Feb. Just before we went to purchase them the prices hiked. Not surprising that Disney is expensive, but our timing sucks. I hope it's not ridiculous.

DVC lost their discount on a standard AP tonight and the current standard AP for us is a seasonal with blackout dates that used to be only for FL residents. They raised the price $200 from yesterday's seasonal ticket. They will rationalize that you get memory maker now. That used to cost $169 now you will pay $200 each for it in the cost of your ticket. So a family of four will now spend $800 for memory maker since it was added "free" to the ticket.
I currently have an AP I wonder if they are allowed to downgrade it?

Knowing Disney they will get rid of the payment plan due to the changes

I'm starting to wonder if they will have the tier base tickets base on the survey a few months ago.

With parking changes, I'm betting on an across the board price increase on tickets. Big crowds, let's get as much $$ as possible.

DS was just talking with his friend who is a CM, said she saw a memo that all ticket prices are increasing - sooner than later. It's the beginning of the fiscal year.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if tomorrow results in huge sticker shock across the board. Why not just set off fireworks in one swoop and get it over with.

So here's the new prices for passes:

New Gold Pass (DVC/Fla ONLY) -> $549 (Increase of $20/3.7% over prior Annual pass and you get Christmas/Easter blackouts)
New Gold Pass renewal (DVC/Fla ONLY) -> $466 (Increase of $17/3.8% over prior Annual pass and you get Christmas/Easter blackouts)
Annual pass -> Platinum pass $749 (Increase of $95/14.5%)
Annual pass (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum pass $649 (Increase of $120/22.7%)
Annual pass renewal -> Platinum pass renewal $635 (Increase of $81/14.6%)
Annual pass renewal (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum pass renewal $549 (Increase of $100/22.3%)
Premium pass -> Platinum plus $829 (Increase of $46/5.9%)
Premium pass (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum plus $729 (Increase of $80/12.3%)
Premium pass renewal -> Platinum plus renewal $705 (Increase of $46/6.9%)
Premium pass renewal (DVC/Fla) -> Platinum plus renewal $619 (Increase of $70/12.8%)

Ugh. And to think I was holding out thinking there maybe a small chance of a special AP deal. How silly was I!
