I have a trip scheduled this September ( 5 day park hoppers and DDP) and am hoping to book bounceback for a trip in January. I may also do another trip in May. Looks like an AP would be in my best interest. I would exchange my current 5 day park hopper for an AP. How does that work with the DDP in the future?? I know I would need to buy at least a single day ticket but any other restrictions? If I get an AP rate on the room can I still do a package with DDP?

Thanks in advance. I just want this to be as cost effective as possible.

AP holders can now add the dining plan to their rates without having to buy the extra ticket. The biggest change, I believe, is that it turns from a room only ressie to a package and is subject to the 45 day pay off rule and all the package cancellation fees etc.

Nope, you wont' need to buy a ticket unless you want free dining. AP holders can purchase a room/dining package, no tickets. You must present one adult annual pass at checkin. And if there is an AP room discount, it can be applied to the package.

Thanks! That's wonderful news.
