Sorry if this thread is already somewhere else...

How does DDP work if you have an annual pass? Is it a certain amount of money each night of the trip?
We are trying to plan a Feb. trip and we thought about doing DDP.
And what does it include...someone told me there was one where it had mini-golf, free picture, etc... but I'm not finding that anywhere...it might be because I was so sleepy last night when I was looking for it!

TIA for any help!!

The DDP and coupon combination that you are talking about is a Magic Your Way package. That is a room and ticket combination package - it does not apply to room-only reservations. :upsidedow

With an AP, you usually have to choose between buying a one-day base ticket and saving the day for another trip or computing if the free DDP saves you any money over an AP discount. :teacher:

I have found that it can work both ways depending on the season and the deal. If you have more than 3 people staying in the room and only one has an AP, I have found that free dining often trumps having to buy one one-day tocket for someone who doesn't need one. (Everyone else can upgrade their ticket after arrival.)

HTH - and that I haven't added to your confusion!

AP holders can now buy a room/dining package without tickets.

This is a package, NOT a room-only reservation. Package deposit, change and cancellation rules will apply. However, it may be possible to apply AP room discounts to your package. Ask when you call.

I also doubt that this particular package includes the extras like mini-golf or free pictures that come with the MYW package. To my knowledge it includes only the room and the dining plan.

There seems to be a current benefit for Annual Passholders to receive 50% a round of mini golf at Winter Summerland or the Fantasia courses for up to 10 people. It can be found on the Passholder website.

We just got back from free dining at Disney with our APs. We did have to purchase the one day tickets because of the "free" dining promotion. For our upcoming December trip, we do not have to purchase the one day tickets but booked as a "package" instead of "room only". As for the "perks", when we got our trip paperwork before leaving, there were "coupons" in there for PH and a couple of other things (they're at home-I can look tonight and post if you'd like). There was no free picture though-that's what I was hoping for!

If you're thinking the DDE (Disney Dining Experience, now called Tables in Wonderland), that's another beast that gives you a percentage off your meals. We purchased this as well which came in pretty handy to discount our custom cakes we ordered and the "specialty" drinks for the kids. Actually, we've almost got the "paid" for just by using it on our last trip.

I hope that answers some questions for you!

The PP is correct - if you want "free" dining you have to purchase tickets whether you have an AP or not, and there is no discount available on the room itself. The dining is your only discount (Disney doesn't combine discounts).
