Annual Dues Error

So I came home today to a past due notice for my annual dues. I panicked and checked my annual dues online and it says I have no balance and they're paid in full. So I go to call member services and go through prompts for accounting and they boot me after telling me where to send a payment. So I do chat and they telle to call the number. Anyone else having issues where they're erroneously asking for a dues payment that isn't actually due?

I'd call Member Accounting back. Sounds like you may need to speak to a Supervisor - especially if you have proof that you paid (besides the online look).

Good luck!

Yep I called them and all it did was tell me where to send the payment I already made. And hangs up on me. I've emailed them since chat just tells me to call. I shouldn't need more proof beyond the online view that literally says paid in full. I used gift cards to pay to save money so it's not like I have a credit card statement.

I'm thinking the same thing but it's annoying or more appropriately infuriating that a billion dollar real estate company makes accounting errors that I assure you never go in favor of the owner. How many 75 or 80 year old legacy OKW owners received that notice and blame their advanced age for missing that payment and just send it in? I'll bet it's way more than Disney cares to admit.

I did get one this week and I finalized my bill a few weeks ago. I thought I had auto pay on my new contract set up but it did not take so I was considered past due.

So, I just threw it away assuming it crossed in the mail and that generated automatically on the 16th of February.

If your online account is paid in full I would not worry.

Very true.

That would be fine and good if mine wasn't paid in full on January 19th. There is no passing in the mail on this one.

Sorry this is happening to you. Maybe try snail mail? Explain that you want to actually talk to someone because all you get when you call is an automated address to send a payment that you do not owe followed by a disconnect.

I'm not overly worried about my financial responsibility as I have the receipts and the online dashboard verifying my payments that amount to my annual dues total. I'm more concerned about it affecting a trip or them putting a freeze on points prior to this getting cleared up.

If you are able to do things on the website and don’t get Rex, your account is not locked.

That is what happens and the CMs from chat can see that there is an issue They could mine.

Also, if the account is frozen, the site won’t let you choose the membership to even try and book.

A few years ago we had a dues mistake. We Have several contracts. We accidentally paid extra on one let’s say it was around $50. We then paid the rest. When we got to the last one let’s say the fees were $500. It showed we needed to pay $450. On one screen it showed everything was paid, but there was an over payment on one and an underpayment on another. Eventually they locked us out. A quick call to MS, they fixed it and all was well. Some errors do happen hopefully they fix it.

Update*

I finally spoke to a real human today and they said that they cleared this up on March 2nd when I called. Which is odd...since I didn't call on March 2nd. Then the guy admitted that they may have erroneously sent out statements to some accounts (specifically ones with multiple contracts) and then the account got flagged the next day to be fixed on their back end because they checked for errors the day after they sent the notices. Seems a bit backwards but the cast member was very easy to deal with and verified that everything was good.

Same thing happened to me. I'm certain that I set up auto pay on the last contract I bought. But they said no, so I got hit with a late charge.

I only knew there was a problem when I kept getting Rex when trying to access the reservation area. Member accounting said they sent me a notice back when the dues first became late (before a late fee was assessed). I never received a notice until yesterday. Not worth arguing with them about it.
