OK, we are new DVC owners so this is our first year of dues. Just closed in Oct. and previous owner paid 2009 dues. Do we get a bill or how is this handled. I haven't had the chance to look at the member site, but I can pay by credit card there? Thanks for any info.

I am in the same boat as you. I called last week to Mbr Svcs because there was a message on the DVC website for me to contact them. Since I am a new DVC member, they wanted to know how I was going to pay (lump sum or monthly). I told them lump sum. Mbr Svcs told me that an invoice would be mailed out the week after Christmas. Today I checked on the DVC website and there was an invoice for the annual dues. It can be paid online by credit card. Hope this helps.
We purchased our DVC resale in October and just a few minutes ago asked my dh when we should be receiving our dues bill in the mail.
Does it come in the mail at all or do we need to review it online?
I guess I will look now too.
Thank you.

It will be mailed, but the publication of the dues owed online also serves as proper notice. Dues are owed by January 15, 2010 but are not considered late until February 15 - unless auto-debit is being used to spread out payments equally over the next year.
Thanks for all the help and info. I did find the information on the member site. And will wait until January 15th to pay by credit card to get those extra Disney points. We already have the money set aside and it was lower than we expected - a bonus.
I'm a little confused. The annual dues for 2010 are due by January 15th. So if you choose monthly debiting are you allowed to pay these dues over 12 months in 2010. Shouldn't you be paying these dues in advance? Say over 12 months in 2009 so the payment would be paid in full by January 15th?

No, you can either pay in full in January (by credit card or check) or spread the payments out over the year at no extra charge but by direct debit only. It costs Disney probably 2%-3% if you pay by credit card so I assume that it's a trade off for them: in exchange for paying by direct debit instead of using a credit card, they let you spread the payments out over 12 months without charging any sort of finance charge. If you want to pay by credit card, then they want the entire sum up front.
