I read somewhere that dvc mambers get a discount. Does anyone know about this? I would love to know what the price will be. Thanks

AFAIK, there are no DVC discounts on any type of Disneyland tickets.

There is a DVC member discount on annual passes to WDW - it's $100 off the AP and $125 off the PAP. There are also discounts on AP/PAP renewals and selected Florida resident annual passes. Again, the DVC discounts are for WDW tickets, not Disneyland

Best wishes -

It was in the members newsletter that they were adding dl tix. It just didn't say how much they were selling them for. Maybe they have not decided yet.

From the newsletter:

Disney Vacation Club also has established a variety of Member perks at the Disneyland Resort, from dining, merchandise and entertainment discounts to savings on Disneyland Resort Annual Passports. Watch for details soon in the Member Perks section of www.dvcmember.com.

If I buy an AP today thru DVC and don't activate it until 2007 will it still work? Or is there a time limit on how long an voucher is valid?

Good to know - I'll have to read that email a little more closely!

Best wishe s-

It's driving me crazy not knowing how much the discount is going to be, or if there will even be one! I'm crossing my fingers because I really would like to talk dh into 2 trips at least this year to DL and a discount on AP's would make it a very sweet offer!

There is no time limit at the present time on activating an AP voucher.

monami7,
I called member services yesterday to see if the knew what the Disneyland Discount is going to be. They told me it was $20.00 off a new Premium or Deluxe AP--discount can be obtained at DL when you purchase your ticket by showing your DVC membership card.
I was hoping for a larger discount... But, as DH says, "$20 is $20" :teeth:

Let's hope it is better than that. Heck you can buy a hopper pass online right now and save $20. Costco offers a City pass for $169 and that includes a 3 day DL hopper, 1 day at Knott's, Seaworld and the San Diego Zoo (great deal).

I would hope it would be about the same as the WDW discount.

I had hoped that it would be enough to entise me to purchase the pass, rather then the 3 day hopper, and then spend the 4th half day in the parks, and return again next spring. But the discount did not make the pass cost low enough for me to see this as a good deal for me.
So I will spend my 3 days in the park, and likely not visit DL again for over a year.
Since that was my original plan anyway, I don't feel as if I lost anything.
I did loose out getting my own company discount on my 3 day pass, by waiting, rather then ordering last week. But that is my fault. Now the risk of not getting my pass on time, is too high.
So I will likely order from the DisneyLand web page, and pick up my pass when I get to DL late next week.

dcfromva - Thanks for the info! I was just getting ready to check on passes for my DH and missed the DL discount info. I always get a PAP as we go once a year and the discounts basically pay for a good portion of the pass. We are going a day before the August 14 day DVC repositioning cruise and then again in February so was thinking of buying a second AP. Do yo know when this goes into effect??
