Wendy (me) 46 but feels 21 in mind - Disney mad, the planner
John (DH) 46 - getting almost at Disney mad as me
Glen (DS) 14 - our lovely little boy one minute, stroppy teenager the next and mature young man occasionally
Ashley (DS) 11 - the loud one! A lot of this holiday has been based around his needs with him being very special.
Saturday 20th October 2007
Woke up to rain, much fresher.
Unfortunately had a job to get everyone up this morning after a late night but we had to be at BC Cape May for Goofys breakfast at 8.30am.
BC Lobby where we had been given a buzzer which went off after 5/10 minutes.
The characters made their way around all the table. There was Goofy, Chip and Dale, Minnie, they apologised for one character not being there on that particular day - I think it was Mickey. There were wax crayons and a paper tablecloth to draw on so John decided to draw Goofy, who crept up behind him to peer over his shoulder. Total cost $94.57/4 table service credits.
I think he was impressed.
And signed it for us.
End result.
Glens drawing of Goofy.
Ashleys drawings of all the characters which he insisted on showing to Minnie.
We eventually made our way over to Epcot FW and took a ride around on the monorail, silly really as we had to join the queues to get back in the park! But by this time WS was open and we made our way around for the first time in daylight.
Very impressed with the terracotta army in China.
This was when I had a major embarrassing moment. I was carrying around the mister sprayer thing we had bought and while sitting on one of the rides held it between my legs until I felt a damp patch spreading! The blooming thing was leaking from its top all down the insides of my thighs. It looked as if I had wet myself, so sliding off the ride carefully I took my blouse off (its OK I was wearing a strappy tee shirt underneath) and tied it around my waist. Looked silly but not as embarrassing as walking around with wet trousers. Luckily I soon dried out. Saw Donald, Beauty and the Beast, Marie from Aristocats and Jasmine and Aladdin. We ate at Liberty Inn.
Back to the hotel for 2.30 and cancelled Raglan Road booking for that night. We were just eating too much and felt we wouldnt want it. Turned out to be a wise move. We caught the bus the DTD and got off at Pleasure Island as Ashley wasnt feeling to good. He had tummy ache and was in one of the loos for ages. We went to find the Virgin Megastore as Glen was itching to spend his dollars on some PSP games. We were disappointed in the choice they had on offer, although we still bought three! Went in Disney Quest, not our idea of fun and came straight out again. Sat and had a drink while we waited to go into Cirque du Soleil.
We turned up early for the pre show but I dont know why, I just wasnt impressed by this, it went on a bit as the show was delayed due to technical difficulties and started about 15-20 minutes late. Near the end of the show Ashley said he felt a bit funny so the bit I knew was coming and looking forward to - the trampolining section - I didnt enjoy because I just wanted it to be over to get him outside. Rushed him to the loo afterwards where he threw up! After this he felt much better so we made our way through DTD to the buses calling in at some of the shops but he was starting to feel funny again so we didnt hang about. We eventually got to the buses and the journey seemed to go on forever, I got the Virgin Megastore bag out (luckily without any airholes in the bottom) just in case, and as we approached the Swan and Dophin stop (the one before ours) he threw up again so we got off and walked the rest of the way. We were all disappointed at not being able to look around the shops, Glen had saved up to get some PSP games, MP3 player and some trainers, John had wanted to look around the sports shop and I wanted to look around the World of Disney store and it all went wrong! More than anything I felt sorry for Ash feeling rotten, just hoped it went away overnight.
