Hi everyone ! Don't laugh but I am already planning our big 25th anniversary trip to Orlando in 2008. Since we have been several times before trying to think of something special to mark the occasion. Thinking of doing the Illumination cruise so how about a special dinner before the cruise, possibly the Yachtsman Steakhouse or maybe the Cape May Cafe. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Also if anyone has any anniversary ideas I would sure appreciate it. So far I have the cruise, possibly a carriage ride at Riverside, a cake delivered to her , and maybe a massage somewhere. Again thanks for any help .......

Welcome to the Dis, TB1. I'm glad you found us as you will get many opinions and ideas here.

As for your anniversary dinner, I have dined at Yachtsman Steakhouse on my last 2 anniversaries. Both times (and a 3rd time with my mom) we have had amazing meals there. Everything from the rolls with garlic right through to dessert has been delicious. The service has always been great, and while not the most romantic atmosphere, it is a little more "upscale" than most WDW restaurants, making it special.

If you do dine there be sure to have your anniversary noted on your ADR. Last year on our 10th we were given a free dessert sampler and I got a long stem red rose. On our 9th we got the dessert sampler.

Hi TB1
We are going to wdw in Dec for our 10th anniversary. We are going to have dinner at the Yachtsman on Dec 7. You can call private dining and they will help with ordering a cake which is what i have done. The number is 407-934-3160. Have fun planning!!!!!!!

For a super special treat go to Victoria and Albert's. It puts Yachtman and everything else to shame.

Depending on the time you year you can also charter the Grand One for a Wishes! fireworks viewing. If Wishes! is late you can have an early seating at V&A, but if it is around 8:00 you could have the late seating. You actually get a much better view of Wishes! from the lagoon than from in the park, while the IllumiNations cruises are really not a good viewing area.

We went to WDW on our honeymoon, our 25th and 30th Anniversaries! ( The honeymoon we were real trend setters, no one could believe that's where we are going. Now it's a real THING!)

We ate at Artist's Point for 30th, and California Grill for 25th, went on the balcony for the fireworks, and the gave us a lovely desert with Happy anniversary written in gold on chocolate.

I always recommend Citrico's...........we all have our personal favorites and this is ours. Consistently great food and great service, we love it there.
