Anniversary present....

Hello all,

It's our 11th Wedding Anniversary on saturday, and as you all will know that is steel. So........what do I buy for the DW. I was thinking of a colander or a ladle perhaps (LOL). She has told me I'm getting some new razor blades!!!

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

That's not a very romantic material is it? Things are either highly expensive such as a new car or a cruise on a steel ship or very practical like scissors or knives.

Maybe a cocktail shaker, photoframe or garden sculpture - still not very anniversaryish. Perhaps you should just forget the steel bit and go for jewellery and maybe she won't mind it being the wrong metal.

We have both agreed that it is a pretty dumb gift item to try and buy, so have decided not to bother......although as she won't see this 'til Saturday I've got a couple of tickets to a show in Southampton for next week, and a big bouquet for saturday morning.

That'll have to do.

I was going to suggest perhaps tickets to see "Steel Magnolia's" but searched yesterday and couldnt see that it is playing anywhere at the moment - or even "Stomp" (they wear Steel Toe Capped Boots!!!!!)

Thanks Libby and Janice for trying to help Darryl with some ideas for our 11th anniversary.

Of course, I could say he was a sweetie for thinking about it, but having seen him in his green tights and "dress" for my medieval do last night, sweetie is defintely not the right word

Beautiful flowers and tickets for a show on Tuesday night were perfect . . . and we're all off school/work this coming week so that makes it even better
