My DH and I are thinking of doing a second honeymoon/10th anniversary trip to WDW next year. We most likely won't be doing a VR package, however I'm getting some great ideas on this board of special things we could do to celebrate (just read the threads on a private dessert party and a private dinner at GF--love both those ideas!!!!).

One thing I'm sure I want to do is to have professional pictures taken. That is one big disappointment I have from our wedding :sad1:-- the pictures were just not great (putting it nicely) and seeing the beautiful photos you ladies have posted makes me really want a do-over. My thought is that we'd get all done up (I'm thinking a dressy dress for me, suit for DH, I'd have hair and make-up done) and hire a professional photog to come take pictures of us at our resort (thinking we'd stay at GF or BC) before dinner.

Would we be allowed to do something like this? We wouldn't be in wedding attire per se (although I've thought of maybe ordering some flowers to use in a few shots) but I'm not sure if Disney would stop us since we wouldn't be on a VR package and we'd be using an outside photog.

Thanks for any help/info you can provide. I'm just in the dreaming/brainstorming phase right now and don't want to get my heart set on anything that would be against the rules.:goodvibes

we are doing photos with misty who was our photographer at our wedding but we are doing it in a resort and will just be in normal clothes

I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem at all. We had our engagement pictures shot at the Polynesian and the Wilderness Lodge resorts. Since you won't be in wedding attire you don't have to worry about a thing as long as you're just wanted pictures at the resorts and not inside the parks. I highly suggest Randy Chapman www.chapmanphotography.com. I know of a few people that have done anniversary shoots with him and he is always fantastic to work with :goodvibes

we are using misty miotto, alot use ehr as well so might be worth looking at both to get best value and photos

Thanks for the advice--I'm definitely going to do my homework this time! I wish I'd shopped around 10 years ago instead of just going with one of the two photogs that our reception site recommended :sad2:.

But I'm confident that we'll be happier this time around!!!:goodvibes

Hi Littlestinkerbell

My hubby and I have just done this on our trip in January this year. We had Randy Chapman at our wedding at the Pavillion in December 2004 and we were planning on coming over to WDW for our 5th Anniversary this december, but our plans changed and we couldn't come so we came out in January instead, but still wanted to do the photoshoot.

We chose to have the shoot at Port Orleans Riverside as this is where we stayed on our honeymoon. We met Randy in reception and were with him for a good hour and a half and the photos are beauitful.

Our photos are still on his site if you want to have a look, pm me and i'll email you the details.

Hope that helps.

Hi, we actually took photos in wedding attire at the Wilderness Lodge in Sept 08. using Disney photopass photographers. These photos serve as our wedding photos since we did not have any.I have a TR with the passporter site with the photos. I thought it was a great value since at the time the session was only $25. Now I think they are a little more. I can't post pics right now. but my name on the passporter site is purpleprincess and the photos are in the honeymoon and wedding session
