I know theres alot of threads out there about anniversary ideas but I'm not looking for your usual romantic dinner. 2 years ago we decided to go to WDW for our 10th anniversary present but we went in may so it would be warm. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we had Mickey renew our vows at GG. The kids really thought this was great. It was a total suprise for DH. This time we will be there for our actual anniversary Sunday Nov. 26th. I want to do something similar that the kids will laugh about and remember forever. Any ideas? Thank you!!

No ideas but I'll be watching this thread as we'll be there for our 12th anniversary when we go this Sept-Oct (we'll also be there for my younger DD's 4th bday) Looking for something fun to do w/ kids as well for our anniversary... considered renewing our vows but DH said NO way when he saw the price!!! :rotfl:

How about the Hoop De Doo? Let your server and the cast know it's your anniversary and likely 1 or both of you will be called on to the stage to play a part in the show. Oh and kid's love this place anyway, but to see mom or dad on stage would be great.

The only thing is it's not gauranteed that you would get on stage.

There's also other fun places for a meal, 50's Prime Time and Wispering Canyon Cafe. There are some pretty good antics that happen on those places. (as long as you get a good server).

Oh thanks I'll look into the Hoop De Doo isn't that really popular though maybe it's already booked? :confused3 I'll look into it. I was wondering about WC do you know what they do for anniversary's? Thanks again!

I am interested also. We are going to wdw for our 10th anne with kids and my parents in tow. I am also looking for a small wedding cake for hubby..to make a long story short , he never actually had any cake on our wedding and our cake top was ruined. :sad1:

Oh no the renewing the vows we did was just a silly thing they do for free at The Garden Grill in Epcot but it was funny. My DH had no idea and all of a sudden the server came over with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale made us stand up she said something silly vow related I can't remember now but then they made us kiss while the whole restuarant counted to 100. Then I had to kiss Pluto it was really cute we got a certificate and I believe they sometimes bring you a cake maybe you have to order that we didn't get that. The kids really got a kick out of it though so did DH. Good Luck in your planning.

Pick a place where your family will enjoy.
Our 21st anniversary will be Saturday, July 1st and we will be at WDW. :grouphug:

I have picked Rose & Crown - late lunch, 1:20 PM (I hope we are seated by 1:45 PM). We will have our 2 teens with us. Our ADR has our 21st anniversary noted - not sure if Rose & Crown does anything for anniversary's, but....

Reason why I picked EPCOT Great Britian - last time we were there my DH never got his picture taken with the British Invasion :rockband: (they sing Beatle songs) - but we did ! :rotfl:
So, I looked up when they are playing...
http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/schedule.htm
and the British Invasion should be performing on Saturday, 7/1 at 3:00 PM,
So after lunch - we will stroll into the garden and listen to my DH beloved group... :woohoo: The British Invasion (1960's British rock-n-roll revival) and take DH's picture with them. :goofy:

I am sure we can find something on the dessert menu at Rose & Crown for us to share. No need for a specialty cake (plus it is our last day at WDW and we do not need to drag extra cake around with us)

Rose & Crown dessert menu

;) Happiest Celebration on Earth Citrus Trifle $4.99 (maybe)
;) Warm Apple Crumble topped with ice cream - a baked apple filling with oatmeal crumble topped with vanilla ice cream $4.99 (sounds healthy)
;) Chocolate Guinness Cake - chocolate cake infused with Guinness beer, layered with a chocolate mousse, finished with cream anglaise, and a shot of Guinness $5.99 (decadent)
;) Chef's Signature Dessert Sampler $11.99 (the best :cool1: )

I to will be in disney celebrating our 12th anniversary. We will have the kids with us (4 & 7), and it will be July 4th. Just spending that week there is exciting for everyone (our 1st time their). However, for dinner and wishes we will eat at Narcoossee's. We want to get out of the big crowds. Can't wait! Hope you enjoy your day.

Last October we celebrated DH's birthday with a Breathless cruise. It's a bit pricey and you have to call as soon as you can for a ressie but my kids (5 & 9) loved it! So did DH and I. I have a trip report here:

It was a great time. We didn't do this but I was told you can contact private dining at yc & bc if you want to have a cake or something else they have for the cruise.

Just an idea . . .

Have fun!

thanks for the report it sounds like alot of fun. I'll have to keep that one in mind thanks! :boat:

You're welcome. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask. When we went the booking window was 90 days. It's one of those things you have to call right when your window opens at 7 am to get.

Have fun :)

we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on this trip-I already made my adr's but didn't tell them about our anniversary should I call back? :confused3
