DH & I just had our anniversary at Yachtsman Steakhouse. This was my 4th time there (his 3rd) and every meal has been amazing! This time along with a complimentary plate of chocolates we also got a special treat. When we were seated our table we had personalized menus waiting for us.
I would say Yachtsman, it has great steak and the atmpshere is a bit quieter than Le Cellier, where ther eis great steak, but the tables are closer together so not as likey to result in a romantic meal.
Jiko for a filet only. Flying Fish for Charred NY Strip only. Artist Point for Buffalo steak only, Shula's for the best overall variety and prime cuts. Le Cellier & Concourse are fine mid level quality beef.
A recent Yachtsman's review reported a BUG in the salad and the Yachtsman's response was pathetic (do a search). Lot's of folks here are willing to overlook this for numerous reasons, either they personally have only had good experiences, they think bugs in Florida are so common that this is 'bound to happen occasionally,' or they didn't believe the poster. I do believe the poster and Yachtsman's deserve shame, shame, shame and I'm not eating there for a good long time (too many tried and true locations without bug stories to choose from, IMO).
