We met Anna and Elsa on 12/14. We had Breakfast at Cape May, then walked through the International Gateway, and headed straight for Norway. I had intended to get there around 10:15am, but it was more like 10:45am when we got there. We were told we'd be the first family for the 1pm meet! We had an 11:50am FP+ for Soarin', but luckily I was able to change that to later in the day. My husband volunteered to wait in line, while I took the kids to do other stuff.
The CMs were actually encouraging people to just have one person stay to wait, while the others came back later. If everyone stayed, there would have been 3 or 4 times as many people in line. That area was extremely crowded already, and it would have been virtually impossible to even move with that many people around.
The kids and I came back around 12:45pm, and got in line with my husband. The princesses were on their hourly break, and true to the CMs prediction, we were the first in line for the 1pm meet.
For anyone who would be angry about us coming into the front of the line at the last minute...well, my kids were the ones meeting the princesses, not my husband and I, so if you really wanted the people who were meeting the princesses in line, you would have been MORE than welcome to wait in line with my children (and everyone else's who did the same) for 2+ hours. Then you can let me know if you still feel the same way!
Our meet was very nice, not rushed at all. I thought Anna was spot on, and Elsa was good too. A CM actually told my husband that they were currently the ONLY Anna and Elsa, and so they were doing every single meet and greet, while more princesses were being trained to hopefully start meeting soon. When we watched the Christmas parade on TV, it was the same princesses we had met.
Disney is really going to have to figure out what to do about the location of this meet if it's still crazy popular by summer time. The line placement really makes the area very congested, even in a low crowd period, like when we went. Plus, it's entirely outside with no shade. It got pretty darn hot in that line, with the sun shining directly on us, even when the temperature was only in the lower 70s. It's going to actually be dangerous in mid-day summertime temperatures.
