I am eexcited to see the extra tulle too, I bet it will add another level of old hollywood glam to it for sure! At least you tried on the bridcage veil too, so you can at least rule it out. I started cracking up when i read the post and you mentioned me not liking it close to my face! I'm glad i'm not the only one. I really loved the idea of wearing one too but i just couldn't with my gown and apparent phobia of all things that close to my face!

Do you know what length you want the traditional viel to be or the style?

Why thank you darling! I'm excited to get the extra tulle now also! Since I've nixed the idea of the birdcage veil, I can now focus on how I want that to look as my veil.

Hehe! Thank you, thank you my dear Katie! I'm happy it worked out too! I was nervous! Lol! That size sounds pretty frightening to a girl who hasn't been below a size 5 since she was 14.

I wanted to make sure you knew that you weren't the only weird one! 'Cause I'm weird too! I'm a teeny bit claustrophobic, so I wonder if that had something to do with it? I also didn't want anything obstructing my vision on a day where I want to remember everything vividly! And the funny thing is, Jason asked me yesterday if I was going to have a blusher (keep in mind, his question was: "are you going to have a veil over your face?" ). I told him no, and he was happy! Apparently he doesn't like them anyway! So I'm glad I decided against a bircage now!

Anyhoo, I'm not entirely sure but I think I'd like elbow or fingertip length. : I'm not sure yet... suggestions always welcome!

i personally like them long... (as you can see from the cathedral length one i have! )... so i'd go with the fingertip length. Did you get to try any other veils with your dress when you picked it up or just the birdcage??

Truly I didn't. The deal is, my FSIL does my hair and I'm waiting on her to start testing out some of the potential bridal dos I like so I can decide my hair accessory and veil! She thinks we should wait. But I'm not after a full on hair trial. I just want her to mess with my hair so we can figure out what looks good. Lol, so I'm impatient! I don't want my veil on top of my head. I kind of want it underneath, like if it's 1/2 up 1/2 down, I want it flowing out of the 1/2 up part. Hopefully that makes sense!

So yeah. I feel like I won't be sure as to what I want until I know what's going on with my hair.

Thats ok though... i'm impatient too which is why i bought my veil before i knew that my hair was going to look like I want my veil the same way you do... coming out from underneath the half up part. You'll have to take pictures when you sil starts messing around with it so i can theif your bridal do!!!

I grew up in SoCal and went to DL all the time, your pics make me miss it, we will have to make it out there one year, it is just so easy to get to FLA from TX, but I do miss Cali. Your venues remind me so much of mine, between that and the colors it is like we are having the best of disney on both coasts...lol And your dress is gorgeous! Congrats of renting DVC, I love their resorts and it will be so worth it. Can't wait to hear what else you come up with!!

I really wanted a floor length, but then with my dress (and yours too) the back is so pretty it's a shame to cover it right up. My mum made that point and now I agree! So I think Fingertip is perfect as it's still super princessy and also keeps your amazing train on show!

Oh yeah! I agree! When you have lovely princess gowns like you and I have with the amazing corset and detail in the back, it really is a pity to cover it up completely! We shall see... and when we do, I shall have pictures for you all!

I lived in Rancho Bernardo for a year when I was 3 and then we lived in Carmel Mountain Ranch near Poway from 4 until I was 9 all in the San Diego Area. It's funny that we have picked things so similar BTW where did you order you sand ceremony sand from?
