Anjanette & Jason Disneyland Hotel PJ (May 8, 2010) -- We're back! 5/15

I lived in Rancho Bernardo for a year when I was 3 and then we lived in Carmel Mountain Ranch near Poway from 4 until I was 9 all in the San Diego Area. It's funny that we have picked things so similar :rotfl: BTW where did you order you sand ceremony sand from?

No kidding?! Haha! I grew up in Escondido! I used to take piano lessons out in Carmel Mountain. Such a small world! I ordered the sand ceremony set from weddingstar.com (more specifically here). :teeth:

Wow...you have no idea how much time we spent at North County Fair Mall when we lived there, coming from TX we weren't used to no AC at home, so we would hang out all day just to stay cool. Where did you go to school? I went to Pomerado and then Morning Creek Elementary.

Oh gosh, I was such a mallrat at North County Fair!!! :lmao: Too funny! Well, I went to my fair share of schools since I lived in Esco from when I was born until I was 18. I went to North Broadway Elementary, switched to Rock Springs Elementary, then moved onto Rincon Middle School and then Escondido High School. So I totally grew up in San Diego county. :upsidedow

Very cool...I didn't go to middle school or hs there, but I had some friends that went to RB. I miss things out there a lot, but TX is definitely home. Next time a make it out there we will have to try meeting up at DL. You couldn't by chance mail me an In-N-Out burger could you??? LOL...just kidding, I miss those the most!

Earrings arrived in the mail today! Even prettier in person, and I think they look amazing paired with my necklace! :woohoo: Being modelled for you darlings:

Yesterday I was scouring the intarwebs :surfweb: for a ringbearer pillow, toasting glasses and a garter. Still undecided on garters but once I've got access to the wedding funds, DF and I agreed on these:

We were going to get the Jack and Sally glasses I had found before, but I don't like that it has the logo from NBC plastered on the back. :snooty: Think it would look kind of tacky in photos. So, after browsing many an online wedding shops, I found those flutes! See, as long as Jason and I have been together, I've always called him my Mister and he's called me his Missus. So we both thought these were really cute since it'll finally be official to call one other that!

I was bummed that the ringbearer pillow I had wanted originally was discontinued in our colors but I think that one I posted is pretty.

Garters... I can't understand why I'm having such difficulty deciding on one! Lol, it seems silly. Has anyone else had this problem? This one wedding accessory site I came across has GORGEOUS garters! The reason I've not ordered from them is um, they're around $60-$70 a pop. I guess I'll keep looking. Haha.

Oh girl! I wish I could mail you some! You're going to hate me  but I just ate some In-n-Out yesterday! :rolleyes1 Haha, and yeah definitely! If you do make it out here some time, we should meet up at DL! That'd be awesome.

I'll forgive you...just this once though. I used to miss SoupPlantations, but they finally opened a restaurant here called Sweet Tomatoes, so I can get my fix of that, just nothing quite like an In-N-Out burger...I actually have pics of me wearing an In-N-Out t-shirt at WDW, I will have to see if I can track them down.

That's a really cute story behind your toasting flutes! I love it. The ring bearer pillow is really cute too!

I'm having a hard time with garters as well. But I want something really geeky. I'm trying to find a double helix ribbon, so it would be like DNA, and then get a microscope charm or something and have someone on etsy make it. But I can't find the DNA ribbon...or any other geeky ribbon. Oh well. What site were you looking at?

Thank you! :cutie: And argh! Why is it so hard to find geeky type wedding things?! Hmm, actually! This one girl on etsy makes some nerdy type garters. It seems she's on vacation at the moment. But I found a Darth Vader one! She makes custom ones too!

The website with the pretty (and expensive) garters is perfectdetails.com. They have this gorgeous hair flower I really like on there too, but it's $160!! :scared:

Those would both be mine if money was no object!

I think I'm going to have a go at making my own garters, it shouldn't be too difficult, I figure they're the same as making hair scrunchies, just bigger... :lmao:

Your earrings look fabulous, it completes everything with the necklace.

Cute glasses, I like the story behind them. Did you try looking on ebay for the pillow? You can always add some colored ribbon as well, if you wanted the color on it, although I like the one you picked, it's adorable.

I love the flower and garter. . .I really don't know why they have to be so expensive, it's horrible. I honestly haven't thought about the garter issue, I suppose I should think about that  They have some neat ones on ebay for reasonable, about $20 or so. I'll pass on any websites, if I find anything reasonable :goodvibes

Love the glasses and pilow. :goodvibes:

The earrings are perfect and go with the necklace like they are an official set!! Gorgeous. :)

Your earrings go perfect with your necklace!!! :thumbsup2

I love those flutes, where did you find them?!

Just stopping by to say hello since you stopped in on my PJ. I love reading your plans I will have to take an hour or so to get caught up on your thread this weekend. But I did get to glance at your dress, colors, and your necklace as well as your budget issue. Did that get any better? I feel for you on the budget thing I have had to make a bunch of cut backs so far and I am only at the first stage. I have a budget of........ Wait for it $5000. The best thing I did was eBay and using the military for location.
Best of Luck!!:goodvibes

Hey there!

Just thought I'd pop over and say Hi. Your dress is absolutley stunning, you look gorgeous. I'm all for the poofy princess dresses! I love those champagne flutes too :thumbsup2

:rotfl: Nice! Sadly, that wouldn't help ME much though. I couldn't sew my way out of... well, anything! Lol! I'll be excited to see what you're able to do though!!

Thanks hon! I'm really happy that the earrings and necklace match so well! :goodvibes And I haven't checked ebay for the pillow! That's a good idea. I may need to check there. If it turns out to be a bust, then I'll go with the recent one I posted. ::yes::

I don't get it! They totally rip us brides off! :headache: They know if we reeeeally want something, that we'll pay it! Which I suppose is true, but seriously. Do they really have to exploit us on every little wedding detail? Lol! I actually found a garter I liked that comes with a tossing garter and it's $35 I think?

I might check ebay to see what they have too though now!

Love the glasses and pilow. :goodvibes:

Thank you lovely! That's exactly what I was going for with my earrings!! So yay! :teeth:

Your earrings go perfect with your necklace!!! :thumbsup2

I love those flutes, where did you find them?!

Thank you, thank you! :flower3: I found the flutes here. Heck of a lot cheaper than most toasting glasses too! So I'm thrilled!

Well, thank you for stopping by Janine!! :goodvibes My budget situation is still rather stressful, but my parents have assured me they'll do what they can for us. Beyond that, Jason and I will be covering any costs we can afford. Thanks for asking though!

Yikes! Thank goodness for ebay though huh?

Thank you for reading! :teeth: And thank you for the kind words!

Nothing huge to report, but I did get our cake topper in the mail today!! I had the figure set on backorder from this collectibles website until a few days ago when I got an email notifying me the item was discontinued and they'd not be receiving any more shipments. I was scrambling to try and find it, and so I tried ebay. I got it for about $35 there!

It's even nicer than I thought it would be! The figures are fully poseable! I'm so happy and I'll have a nice collectible to add to my collection collection after it's been used on our wedding cake. :cool2:

Here's the topper!:

And just so you all can see part of my NBC collection. Forgive the cluttered appearance of it, as we're limited on space until we're able to move.
