I'm doing fine here. Just busy busy! Trying to figure out where to move to, etc...

I'm sorry for neglecting the boards. Not a lot of news on the wedding front for me though. Only a few things here and there.

My hair is pretty well figured out. My FSIL is going to do it afterall. She managed to use my hair accessory and make it look good too!

The bridal shop I got from gown from finally got the material for my veil in a few weeks ago. So I went down to discuss how it would look with them. My consultant girl told me to bring in my dress and they could take care of alterations for me at the same time. So I've got a second fitting and will be able to pick them both up on the 22nd. I know it's early, but hey, it's one less thing for me to worry about. Lol.

We still need to get ourselves an officiant. DF has been dragging his feet on it. Can't really understand why?

A bit less than 8 months to go now!

That's good that your hair is worked out. That's good that you will have your dress and veil worked out, one less thing to worry about.

Glad to hear you are still doing well!! This time period is kinda hard, since the big things are all figured out, and it is too early for the fine details (even though I obsess over them everyday)

It sounds like you have gotten more stuff taken care of....now all you need is an officiant! Does DFTW have a preferred list there as well? Or do you find your own completely?

FINALLY my lovely Dis brides... I have returned! No really, I mean it. Hehe. I've missed many of you greatly, and am going to play catch up tonight. I will not allow myself to be lazy about it. Lol

Once again, I apologize. Life has been crazy and somewhat uneventful on wedding news up until here recently again. I'm still waiting for California to issue me my pharmacy technician license Yep, 3 months since I mailed my application and still waiting. Worse than that, my DF was laid off about 2 months ago. Things are starting to straighten out and get better now; but that was more stress than we would have liked to have to deal with.

But what can you do? I'm a strong believer of "everything happens for a reason", so I'm sure it'll all be for the best. It's just a bit hard to see right now.

Anyhoo! Onto happier things! Biggest news since my last post in regards to wedding business, would be that we now have our officiant! Hooray! He's a very nice man, very genuine. Which was pretty important to us. I can't stand being at a wedding where the minister pretends to have known the couple all their lives. So that was the last big piece of the puzzle! Phew! We've got to decide on vows, because neither of us really think the traditional set of vows are very us.

My dress is altered beautifully, and sitting majestically in its bag waiting to be worn. Hehe. My veil turned out soo beautifully! I might just have to put it in my hair and get a picture of it for you all, if anyone is curious. It's not very ornate, but the glittery tulle is gorgeous.

All of my bridesmaids have their dresses ordered! My FSIL bought the dresses for my FGs too. I wound up finding a cute one for the girls are David's Bridal. It's adorable, and here's one of my FGs modeling it with the hair accessory I picked for them:

Still need a cake topper too! Argh. But I'm trying to leave that one up to Jason to decide, as I've picked most everything else. I think that's about it for now! We've got lots of little things to figure out now.

OH! Another crazy thing that's happened during my absence! My MOH found out she's pregnant! She's due June 22nd of next year, so poor girl is going to be pretty far along for the wedding. Another BM of mine is due about a month before too. Geez! Must be something in the air. Hehe. But how can I be upset about more precious nieces and/or nephews?

Yay for an update! Sorry to hear about your DF's job, that is really tough. My dad lost his job last year and only a few months ago found another one, but it did work out because his new job actually pays more. I believe things happen for a reason too and I know it'll all work out for you guys.

The flower girl dress is too cute and the bottom matches the tulle on your dress so well!

We definitely want to see pics of the veil, it sounds really pretty and congrats on finding on officiant!

On the cake topper, you could always go without one, we were watching "My Fair Wedding" and David Tutera was saying how he hates cake toppers and now my DF doesn't want one either, even though I already bought one! But it was super cheap. He's always like: "Well David doesn't like it..."
