looking at old pictures when your parents where so young

I love looking at old pictures of my parents and grandparents. I think I get more emotional looking at pictures of my kids when they were younger. They just grow up too fast.

Not as sad as when I see pics of MYSELF when I was young!

Yes it makes me sad also. I wish I could have known them then. Maybe I'll do a "time travel" back. ;)

I dont mind getting old but wish my parents could have stayed young forever

What a nice idea..... (Heck, I just wish my dad was her...I'd take him at ANY age. :) )

I don't mind aging all that much either except when parents and other relatives get really old and when I meet someone younger that I like that seems a world apart. You know what I mean? That's when the fact that I'm getting older too really sinks in sometimes.

I love seeing pictures of my parents when they were young. What I don't like is that I know I'm now older than they were in those pictures! :scared1: Another scary thought is that I now have a 13 year old! How did that happen? I miss those little kid days.

I get more sad seeing pictures of my parents now that they're old. I remember them at a certain age (like 40s/50s) and now they are elderly. It really hits home how old they are when I see a picture of them.

I have one picture of my parents when my dad was in his early thirties and my mom was eighteen.. My dad is now almost 77 and my mom is now 63.. I do get sad when I see that one picture.. I wish I could have spent time with them and known them when they were that young..

I always find it sad to look at pictures of my mom. I miss her so dearly. She died way to young.

Far from sad,

my mommy was beautiful as a kid, teen, young adult and even now, i look at her and she looks in her 30's, the sad thing is trying to imagine my life without her, but i know we will be reunited again.

All i can do is love her to death while she is here and make her life as happy and wonderful as i can.

The photos don't make me sad -- being with my parents makes me sad. My Mom is 83 and has Alzheimers/senility, she just isn't the same person that I knew. But watching my Dad (81) take care of her has shown me that real love does exist.
