Animal Kingdom Lodge visting only, question

We will be at AKP on a Friday morning. Then we want to go to DS. We would take the bus from AKP and go to AKL and catch the bus there to DS. I thought while we were at AKL we might as well look around. Are the savannah areas available for viewing for visitors to the AKL?

Yes, you can visit two different savannas by walking outside through the lobby. At night there are CM's that have night vision goggles to use.
