I was just reading about the AKL and saw that there are scheduled children's activities at the lodge. How does a person find out what is available? Also, has anyone done the campire there and listened to the storytelling?

I suggest you ask at the front desk about the activities/times. We haven't done the storytelling, but the AKL main lobby building is a great place to hunt for Hidden Mickeys. There are several excellent HMs both inside and out!

The "campfire" is a fire pit just outide the lobby, with big chairs all around. The story telling is done by a CM, around 6 pm, ask at the desk for the time. We did go once but we sat in the chairs many times, beautiful spot.

Good morning. We just returned on Thursday from AKL & it is beautiful.

There is a board in the lobby that gives you a schedule of what's available that day. Also, resort TV shows a continuous loop of activities (free & paid) that are available. We also received a paper at check in that listed daily activities. Enjoy your stay!

Here is a picture of the activity board they have out by the pool. Daily activities are posted on boards in the lobby (by bell services) and down on the first floor by Boma.

What times are the night vision goggles available? We arrive at akl around 7:30-8pm 1/21. Will they be available around that time?

here is a list of AKV activities from may.

when they offer it, the night vision goggle activity is available very late - 8pm or 9pm to around 11 pm.

Thank you for sharing that Charles. I think you might have posted it before but I couldn't locate it!
I guess we will have to schedule in some AKL time just to take advantage of all the fun there!
