We will be at WDW the second week of May and our AK day is a low crowd day for that park. Since there will be no ROL or night activities for our trip we have decided to make AK a half day which may make things a little tight. In order to get in what we want we plan on seeing the 2:00pm Lion King Show and then head directly to kali but our FP time is 1:55 to 2:55. Since Lion King is 30 minutes will we make it in time to Kali River Rapids?

I think so as the show is no more than half an hour. I'd try to get a seat nearby an exit if possible if you that makes you feel better but I'd say it is no more than 10 minute walk so you should be arriving at kali at like 240.

Should be fine with getting there by 2:55 but with the grace period there would be no problem.
