Animal Crossing Issues...

How does visiting towns work? I just got the game and don't really know anyone with it

Yay! madi and I hooked up and it was fun!!! I got her started on building an orchard with foreign fruit and she hooked me up with oranges - and possibly even a Samauri Suit, if she doesn't want it.

Madi - my hubby says he would really like to have the Samauri Suit, if you don't want it. :lmao:

It was fun! I was going to leave you more oranges, but your door was closed. I bought the Samauri Suit, but I'm not exactly sure what to do with it?????

Been super busy last few days, and havnt been able to get online. Will be on tonight if anyone is trying to visit towns.

Joe - I'll come by tonight. Need to sell some peaches. I'm going to pay off my 240,000 bell mortgage tonight if it kills me! 90,000 to go!

I added you :) Let me know if you get it and how/if/when we can visit each other.

I've caught a few fish and dug up a few fossils. Seems a little limited at the moment, but I imagine thing get more involved later on.

Do you hit rocks for bells? If you do I advice going to the City after 8 PM and try to get into Resetti's place and get the silver shovel from him. YOu get more bells from the rocks that way. I have gotten as much as 8400 bells out of a rock. But I do advice that you dig a hole directly behind you and one on either side of you so that when you hit the rock you won't bounce away and lose out on getting as many bells as you can.

I think my WiFi connection dropped. That will close the gate. I found a half dozen or more oranges, so that was a fun surprise. Had to turn the TV over, since my nanny/friend was making fun of me. ;) Luckily the way we have it set up, our flatscreen takes several computer inputs and all I have to do is hit a button and it's disguised as if I was never playing....:rolleyes1

I've been checking to see if i can come back in, but you aren't up. Either that, or someone came home from school and absconded with the remote.....:rolleyes1 :rotfl: Maybe later tonight!!!! We can have up to 3 people in a town at once, besides the owner!

Regarding the Samurai Suit....You can send it to us later, when that new orchard starts producing....pirate: :rotfl2: Actually, it's considered a lucky item to have in your house. Goes on the East Wall (on the left of your screen).

I'll be on shortly. Not sure how long I'll be on. And, I was on earlier, but DD kicked me off. She was playing with her cousin.

We've discovered that since we use Vonage for our phone service, getting ourselves up and running for wireless isn't as easy as we thought. We need an expensive router (ok more than a regular router).

DUH is horrified by the idea, but isn't it possible to, ummm, say, "borrow" a neighbor's wireless hook-up somehow? I mean it's in the air, doesn't that make it OK??

If your neighbor has a security code on their router - nope. No borrowing.

We had to redo our security codes when we hooked up our Wii. Then, we forgot that the printer was wireless.... Oops. Had to refind the code - lost the paper - and get that entered into or upstairs systems.

Otherwise - our Wii is fine. Still have to figure out why the Wii Speak went out on Madi100 and I tonight. Hubby is still playing, since the kids are asleep. He set out grids as he read stuff about every acre and x number of trees = perfect town and growth rates and stuff.

I paid off my 240,000 bell mortgage tonight with our first crop of cherries from Disneym2m and will have a 2.5 story house in the morning! :thumbsup2 Pretty stoked. My carpet and wall coverings are waiting!!!! Then, the basement will come!!!! Aiming for the end of January to own that home free and clear - lord only knows that my real life mortgage won't pay that easy!!! :rotfl2:

Cool-I had a neighbor give me a peach as a gift today and our coconut tree grew coconuts so now we have 3 trees planted. I now have pears, peaches and coconuts. I also dug up my golden shovel and planted some bell trees.

I've been lurking in the boards for years, but I'm so hooked on this game I had to reply to this thread. My husbang got it for me as a Christmas gift, even thought I told him I wasn't interested. Now he makes fun of how much time I spend playing.

Mirelsa

Welcome Mirelsa!!!! Glad you could respond! We also have a friend code exchange thread - may be a couple pages back, but it was started by me. If you are interested, PM anyone on that list and we'll be happy to welcome you in. A couple of us have the Wii Speak and we're all really friendly folks!

Wow. Interesting little tid-bit Gibson. Who'd a thought he'd be tied into the Dis (in a round-about-way).

You just need a wireless router, you should be able to get one for 50-60 bucks.
Don, are you getting the game figured out? Nancy has really helped me, although the premise is quite simple. The hows and whys are interesting. She's also set me up with some fruit that I don't have. I've got peaches, cherries, and oranges if you want me to share.
