kids got this for wii and I have been playing around with it a little bit. question though...is there any way of keeping a journal of what people ask you to do or secrets/tips they tell you? I have forgotten a couple of things and can't figure out how to do what they told me, and can't find any way of referring back

It would probably be a pain in the butt, but you could write it in a letter. You don't have to send the letter, but once the task is completed, you could delete what you wrote.

I don't play it anymore, but when I did, I always carried a full inventory of letters because you can attach objects to them. That way, it gives you 10 or 15 (I forget now) more spots for things and it's nice when gathering fruit. That's such a tedious job and having this ability keeps you from running back and forth from Nook's so much.

here is one of my problems, I can't figure out how to write a letter!

Buy stationary at Nook's. Click it, then I think it will give you a few options (it's been awhile sorry). Choose the option that says to write letter. It will bring up the keypad (if you have a keyboard though, plug it in because it's so much nicer - I bought a cheap one $10 to have it just for this silly game). Type out your letter, then hit done when you're finish.

To look at the letter, go into the area where you can access anything you're carrying. At the top are like 10 (I think it's 10, but it might be 15) letters at the very top. Click on it to read the letter (I'm sure you've gotten mail by now - it's accessed the same way). If you want to send it to an animal, take it to the town hall (I think that's what it's called, in the others, it was the post office, but it's all combined now).

I believe you can also leave yourself a message on the town bulletin board - the wooden post near Town Hall that gives you messages about town activities.

I don't see the buy stationary section at nooks! also, I bought a fishing rod, but can't seem to find bait. and I have a net, but where are the bugs? I feel like the novice I am! lol.

thanks so much for all the help! I swear I think all I am doing is wandering aimlessly around shaking cherry trees.

oh, and I think I need a shovel to plant things, right? where do I find a shovel?
