nothing exciting here to report. I havent decided if I am staying home or going to the tanning beds this morning. I probably should, since I wont be able to go any other morning this week. I would be able to go at night, but I just prefer the mornings. I know they clean the beds between every customer, but being the first in the morning gives me less creeps, LOL. ONly drawback to that is that the palce is freezing cold. It warms up once the beds start getting used.
Told ya, nothing exciting in my life.
Have a good day

Good Morning!
E, Always put heat on it and take some Motrin.
Lars, Good Job on setting Gail straight about chocolate. Someone needed to:rolleyes:
I'm off to work, Have a great day!

Silly question, if you had a hurt muscle that was not responding to massage, would you try heat and cold on it... this bugger really hurts
I have always been told by the physical therapist to alternate cold and heat. If it is an injury, you want to start with cold and end with heat. Be sure to do some stretching too. That seems to help me the most.

Good morning everyone.

Glad to see you stop in Val. Good luck with your Mom.

I think many of us are finding ourselves in the "sandwich generation" having to take care of our kids and our parents at the same time. It is hard.

Sunny and up to 49º here today. How nice. Maybe the heat pump will get a chance to rest today.

Carol- I guess you can't use that new plow that you bought yet.:sunny:

Val - always good to hear from you. at least you and your mom are in good spirits. hope she feels better.

Bethany - don't get too burnt. I keep picturing the Seinfeld episode when Kramer fell asleep in the tanning bed.

E - hope you feel better soon.

I have fallen asleep, but the lights are on a timer and they shut off after 20 minutes. I only use them when I have a trip planned at the end of winter. After months with little or no sun exposure, I could try out for a spot in the Haunted Mansion

Lots of good advice on the shoulder... thanks all! I'll leave in an hour to try to find a heating pad at the very least!

Val always good to see you! Good luck with your mom... and I feel for you on that with the feeling like an only child!

I think I'm going to have to look at that new smilie site when I go home :p

I need to find smiley sites I want to use different ones too!!!!:p

Elaine - I never really shopped at Big Bear except to get their cakes which I LOVED!!! I really haven't noticed too big a difference at Kroger yet, but the one I go to didn't have a BB close to it anyway. My friend told me that the Meijer on Sawmill has been packed lately. I think there were 2 or 3 BB's up there. When I went to Meijer down here they took my BB card and gave me 10 or 15% off my total order a couple weeks ago:)
When it comes to muscle soreness Motrin and heat are good friends:o When I was doing weightlifting a few years ago I used to take a Motrin before any hard workouts. It seemed to help some with after workout pain.

Bethany - I am always a candidate for the Haunted Mansion. Becuase of my meds I can't spend alot of time in the sun and tanning beds are out of the question. I need Sunblock 1000 when I go to Florida:sunny:

Well my aunt called dad yesterday and says the Dr says she needs to see a Psychiatrist (duh) becuase she is a hypochondriac.(Known that for awhile) Then she calls my mom and says she needs to see a Psych. becuase the Dr. thinks she is getting Alzheimers now too. She is 42 and one of the BIGGEST hypochondriacs!!! And the saga continues....
THis is me currently:crazy:

Carolyn, I live kind of close to that Meijer... I actually work closer there and live a bit SW of it, but not too far. In my area there were a ton of BBs. For ever Kroger/Meijer/GE there was a BB it seemed so our stores are now packed!!! At least they were. The GE opened up where the old BB was and that sure has helped us! I loved the bakery there though!!!! We always got birthday cakes and all that from there! We are at a loss of where to go... well except we go to Graeter's now for them :p

Sounds like a lovely aunt you have there... my husband's grandmother is just like that!!!!! Tons of fun to deal with

Well I got some Icy Hot rub for at work and that seems to help a little bit. I have been taking Advil today (don't have and honestly never tried motrin!!) I also have some heat pads for home later. I Hope this goes away soon!

getting close to page 2!

Carolyn - sounds like you have an interesting Aunt there!

I'm not familiar with any of these grocery store chains y'all are mentioning.

We have Winn Dixie, Food World and Brunos here. Other parts of the state may have Krogers and Delchamps with Piggly Wiggly (I just love saying that) scattered throughout the state.

I grocery shop at Wal Mart.

:wave2:

Sorry Alan, Carolyn and I live in the same city so Big Bear, Kroger, Giant Eagle are among the big names around here... well Big Bear was until they went out of business! I was just curious of BB closings caused huge difference in the crowds at other stores like around here :)

Marsha - have you changed from your jammies yet?:teeth:

I did, but it was close to noon. I just can't get motivated when I have zip to do. I would have gone out, but with out my car, I am quite restricted. And when the only thing I HAVE to do is boring, I don't want to do that, either.

Perhaps if I talk my self into going to Home Depot when I go to get the clothes, even though they are at opposite ends of the town............. I could look for tile, I want to do a tile back splash in the new kitchen. But I am just going to look, I am not allowed to buy.
:(

Big Bear has been around since forever here. It's sign was a big bear literally:) I don't think we have a Walmart that we can really grocery shop at yet nearby, but I think the new one going in may be one of them. I did visit one recently and I thought is was pretty cool. Pretty much the same as the Meijer. but of course it was a Walmart. (Or like I always say a Wally's) I'm not sure if Giant Eagle will go into the old BB here yet. I haven't heard(or I just was not paying attention;) )
Well I have managed to finally get around to getting dressed just in time to learn that I may not be able to go to the place I wanted to becuase of a chemical spill:eek: I guess some areas have been evacuated and roads closed. What fun!!

In case any of you have not revisited the riddle thread since early this morning you may want to do so. I am now giving out valuable advice regarding HDTV. :p

Hey, that's what you get when I lead the parade!
