I don't mind the grocery shopping, but I hate to carry them in and put them all away. So I try to time my shopping so that I pick up Amy right after the shopping spree, so she can help truck them in. Am I lazy or what? Actually, I am not supposed to load down my left arm with packages, so it takes me a long time to carry in groceries for 4.

Whew. Everyone has gone to work/school. I love weekends, but I also like the quiet of a Monday morning when we are back to our routine.

DD fell asleep on the couch, which allowed me more DISing time. Could do some cleaning......................nah!

Brief stop home and then, you guessed it..................

I'm going grocery shopping!!!! :D

Good afternoon folks.

I HATE grocery shopping.

On the parent caregiver note, my brother the opthamologist called last night. My mother had called him because she lost the lens out of her glasses. DB lives 6 hours away and called us so DH the optometrist could fix the glasses. So, I drove to Baltimore today and picked up the glasses (2 hours round trip) before I went to work. Then I saw my patients and went to a school meeting. DH fixed the glasses and we are making another 2 hour round trip to Baltimore tonight to return them.

On a *very happy* note, DD got accepted into University of Massachusetts today. She is still waiting to hear from 2 other schools before making her final decision. This was one of her top picks though.

Have to get dinner on the table so I can get back on I95.

I've been cleaning kitchen cabinets today. My mom recently told me that she has purchased some dishes (that I've been wanting for years) for me for my birthday. My mom has a bowl that had belonged to her grandmother and I've always loved it. She bought an old set of dishes that are the same pattern. They are so pretty with pink roses and blue ribbons. I'm trying to make room for them. I may put in new shelf paper while I'm at it.

Amy's godmother is in the hospital. They are running tests to find out what is wrong. Please send pixie dust if you are so inclined. She is like an aunt to me and a very special lady. I think I may run out and get a plant so we can run up to see her tonight, although she is one of those folks who doesn't really like visitors when she's in the hospital. I just figure that Amy can make over her and get by with it. :teeth:

And one more thing, we have just done something that will prevent any more snow from falling in our area this winter. DH just bought a snow blade for the lawn tractor.

MP. ~~PD~~ for Amy's godmother.

Carol, congrats on DD's acceptance.

I love grocery shopping (or is that also becoming code for something? No difference though, I love that too :teeth: )

Sometimes I will take one of the girls with me, but most often it is just me and Mrs. AA puts them up so it's no problem!

I have never heard of a play center at a store. I would not trust anyone down here and I know that Mrs. AA would refuse to let one of our girls out of her sight (you know what I mean Lou) in any shopping center.

But I think it's great that it is available for some of y'all.

Carol~Congrats to Sarah!!!:Pinkbounc

Clipping coupons??? What is that... I just have this plastic card thingie I use :p

COngratulations to Sarah!!! That is wonderful news!

And Merry, PD for Amy's godmother

Alan, we even have a tiny play center here as well at the store... don't see it used much though.

Need to get dinner... any good ideas?

Even if it is UMass since my alma mater is URI ;)
Have a safe drive to your Mom's and back this evening.

:grouphug: to Melissa & Amy. Hope her godmother is feeling well soon.

I'm also going to try to help it stop snowing. I have a collection of snowmen that I take out after Thanksgiving and keep out during the winter. It's time to pack those puppies away and dig out the Easter Bunnies! ::yes::

Hello all, just a quick check in and I find a new code, grocery shopping???? Hmmm, we do it every Sunday. I clip coupons, but DH is the maoin shopper, he would do it with out me.

Carol, rassberries to your brother. Drive very safely. UMass, sounds like a way to have a NE Angel meet.

Alan, there were lots of Kids Clubs in AZ, they had closed circuit TVs through out the store so parents could see their kids. I never saw any kids in there. Maybe the race car baskets (buggies, carts, etc) were a bigger draw.

DH is making me nuts, he has to go to CA in the early morning, he has to go from here to CHI to LAX and then to Oakland. THe Oakland part got added today. So he is stressing over what clothes to wear. And bugging me about it. Better go!

Congratulations to Sarah!!!:Pinkbounc

MP, saying a prayer for Amy's DGM. Hope everything turns out ok.

Put me on the "Hate grocery shopping List". Ugh.

Now going to the mall I Love! I took my mom today and we finally got her dress for the wedding! I didn't stop there, we also got her shoes and purse and I found a pair of silver open toe shoes to go with my dress and they're comfortable!!

Then I went to the chiropractor. My neck's been hurting me for about 6 weeks now. I always get so scared:scared: when he starts cracking it, it sounds SO loud! Believe it or not, it already feels better!!::yes::

To all those trying to help it quit snowing, THANK YOU!!
